Had a plumbing emergency and needed to cut into the drywall to access the pipes. Instead of fixing the drywall I decided to order this access panel in case we ever need to work on it again. It fit perfectly and looks great! The one downfall is it is very difficult to open. Not a huge deal considering I don't plan to open it regularly. But to gain access I needed a flat head screw driver and had to pry both slits and pull hard to get the door to come unclipped. The plastic held up but I figure if this is done too many times it could eventually break. Other than that I am satisfied with the purchase. ... show more

The panel is a really good buy. Make sure you measure twice with a measuring tool and not your eye. I guessed what the sizing was and I was wrong.

My use-case was a ceiling panel was needed for access to pipes under the upstairs shower. Ceiling panel is drywall. The page that comes with the panel refers (in not quite clear English) to adhesive to fasten the panel in place. No such thing was included with the product. Only included the panel, the "instruction" sheet, and the shrinkwrap. That said, by carefully cutting the hole ever-so-slightly too small for the inner rim of the panel and then trimming it wider until it just barely fits, the panel's plastic material was flexible enough to wedge into the opening and stay there securely. You just have to be careful when cutting the opening. You can always cut the hole bigger, you can't cut the hole smaller! So deliberately start small and shave a little more off the side until the panel can be wedged in. (NCR) ... show more
