I'll be honest... for the price, I was expecting a lightweight quasi piece of junk from "America's industrial heartland." I was pleasantly surprised. The lamp is solidly constructed steel, with a nice finish. The dimmer switch is smooth with a slight "weighted" feeling, the adjustability and rang of motion is fantastic. And - most amazingly - the instructions are CLEAR and well written (as a technical writer, this was the biggest shock... imagine! Clear instructions!) The only ding I give this product is the packaging. The product is boxed in standard environment-killer I-can't-believe-this-crap-is-still-legal styrofoam. You know the stuff: takes about huge amounts of garbage and landfill space, shatters into millions of little staticy pieces when broken up, etc. I'd gladly have paid a couple extra bucks for environmentally friendly packaging. ... show more

I’m writing this on my husband’s phone. We love these lights. The price was great, quality construction great, and they look very nice. Being able to manage installation was the best! I’m old and not good with installing things. I diligently followed all directions and luckily they included every step. I was lucky to have the small tools needed for this project and gathered them before starting. I did use our power electric drill and that helped drill into the drywall. I will say that they suggested a drill bit that we didn’t have and I substituted a different one and it worked fine. That was a plus. I was so excited and it worked perfectly! I was excited about installing my husbands but while I ran a couple of errands he installed his himself🥲. I really wanted to do it and that certainly surprised him, ha! Buy these. You won’t be disappointed. Tip: Since I use my bedside lamp for reading I laid on the bed first to see where I wanted the lamp installed on the wall so I wouldn’t have to adjust the vertical position much. I purchased the pair for my daughter's room, and was absolutely delighted by the workmanship, design, and beauty. They illuminate incredibly well, and I installed one as a bedside reading lamp, and the other over a makeup table. All metal solid design with quality materials, this is an excellent functional and aesthetic addition to a bedroom. Incredibly easy to install with well written instructions. Sturdy, perfect for over my sofa as a reading lamp. This is a small log cabin with little to no room for floor or table lamps, so the wall mount is perfect. Figured I'd try one, see if it was worth the money, and it did not disappoint. Installation was relatively easy for me in spite of the weird instructions. I've installed things with mounting plates before, so I was able to figure it out. It's perfect for the space, and I like it so much I just ordered a second one for the other side of the sofa! Very good quality, especially in light of the reasonable price for the two-pack of lights. We liked them so much that we ordered more sets. They are good quality metal, not flimsy. The arm moves in many directions so you can mount them to easily fit your needs. The dimmable capacity is a plus. We are hard-wiring them in a kitchen setting above cabinets, where the dimmer knob will be out of reach, so we are setting the dimmer knob on high and adding a dimmer switch on the wall for multiple lights wired together. My one wish is that the lights were available in all-black vs the white inside of the shade. We are choosing to spray paint the inside black to have a more rustic/industrial look. If you look at the reviews for the double pack of these lights, you'll see some people complaining that the included machine screws are too long for the brass screw caps that hold them into place. I encountered this problem with my product as well and the light is unusable as a result. Maybe there's a bad lot, or a handful of us were unlucky, but I certainly wouldn't recommend the gamble when there are plenty of other options. Steer clear. ... show more

These lights are awesome! Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something for our bedroom because we are having a baby in 9 weeks. I wanted something that we could use when the baby wakes up while she is in the bedroom with us and that wouldn’t force us to go turn on the bright bedroom light. The dimmer switch is an actual dimmer, not a bright/brighter function and the left to right feature is great. No adjusting a knob to move it side to side. Just push. The only issue we had was that the screw caps were too short so after installing, the lights wiggled. My husband shortened the screws slightly with his dremmel and that solved the issue. The caps that come with the lights need to have longer threads but other than that, no complaints! ... show more
