This bra needs to be broken in. It did not fit well when I first tried it on. I needed to wear it for about 2 weeks and then it stretched to fit around my shape. It is kind of like how jeans used to be. Now it fits perfectly and is SOOOOOOO comfortable. I am surprised at how nice it is. It also needs to be washed to get rid of whatever stiffening product they use in manufacturing. I tend to run warm and thankfully, this bra doesn't have so much extra material that it heats me up even more. This is one sturdy product. It means business. If I wear a light pink t-shirt there might be a tiny, tiny bit of headlights on a freezing day, but barely noticeable. Most tops and most conditions this bra is discreet. The straps are the selling point. I have rotator issues in both shoulders and need wider straps, and these are a hit. Not too thin and not too thick. Usually, it is the strap or the area underneath that makes me rip off a bra and this bra has both areas reasonably comfortable. I haven't been writing many reviews lately, but felt this was worth it as it is a good product I can stand behind and recommend to others. I purchased another. The reasonable price is helpful as well to those of us watching our wallets, and attracted me to this item initially. Much better than expected.     • THE SIZING ON PLAYTEX BRAS IS ***CRAZY***!!

FINALLY! I tried sizing this bra according to the chart and there is absolutely no correlation whatsoever between the chart and reality. I even called PLAYTEX and asked them how to interpret their sizing chart. According to Playtex and their sizing chart, I have a 36/38 band. BUT when I order based on that band measurement, the bra comes and the band is only 30 inches long!!!! That doesn't even make sense! Impossible to put on. How can a 30" band fit someone who is 36 inches around? I measured for the band over and over. My measurement around the chest below the breast line is definitely 36 using a soft tailoring tape measure without being pulled tight. However, nothing sized that way will fit. So I looked at my old bra (44C) and ordered that way. The band fits perfectly using the first hooks, and the bra is so comfortable.....! Glad I could look at my old bra (purchased in a store some time ago where I could try it on before buying it) to see what was going on.....! I'd give it 5 stars if not for this sizing dilemma, which made it necessary to place several orders before I figured out I could just order my old size and ignore their sizing chart. ... show more

Fit true to size! Very comfortable bra, I can even sleep in it if necessary. Despite me being quite large in the chest area, this brand supports me perfectly even without a pesky underwire. It’s crazy but I really do love these bras! I got tired of wearing bulky compressed sports bras and expensive underwire bras. I just wanted something light, easy, comfortable and not too bulky. My wife said you just need to go back to Playtex like my mom used to wear. So to Amazon in search of Playtex I went. I found these. Read tons of reviews. At the time they were only $12, so I ordered a 38DD and a 38DDD. The DDD ended up being the perfect fit. I love the high, supportive sides, the full coverage, 4 hooks and support so much I came back and ordered a black and pearl. They all fit the same. And they look great under t-shirts. If you’re worried about headlights showing, just use Dimrz. There is a little bit of extra material at the top of the cup but it doesn’t bother me. The beige was a bit scratchy at first but after washing it has softened up. Everyone has love hate relationships with bras. For me these work. ... show more

You know your bras are old and so worn out that they no longer hold you up, no matter how much you tighten the straps. This was the case for me since I hadn't bought new bras in YEARS so I decided it was time to invest in some bras. I used to spend a lot of money on each bra from an expensive store (shhh, it's a secret!) and, while I loved them, it didn't seem to be very practical to me if I could find less expensive bras that were good quality and could do just as good of a job. I remember seeing Playtex bras when I was much younger and started searching for them. This seemed to be a popular choice among many people so I chose one of these to test it out. This Playtex bra is an 18 hour bra meant to lift and support all day. It doesn't have an underwire and it's lightly padded on the shoulder straps. The cups aren't padded and there are three hooks for each of the three closure sizes for a total of nine hooks. I purchased the nude color which is a nice, light color that is good for a lot of light-colored and dark-colored clothes. Washing instructions are machine wash cold with like colors and tumble dry low. It is made in El Salvador of 81% nylon and 19% spandex (cup and center belt) and 92% nylon and 8% spandex (back). I always put my bras in lingerie bags in the washing machine and hang them up to dry. For sizing purposes, I am typically a 36D and ordered a 36D in this bra. It fits perfectly so I'd say you will most likely want to order your normal size. This is a full-coverage bra so it goes up a little higher on your chest. I like the fact that it fits me nicely, the straps are padded and comfortable and the design is attractive. The reason I'm not a big fan of this bra is because I don't feel it's very supportive. I usually wear underwire bras and thought I'd try this because it seems to be a popular choice. Even though I tighten the straps, I still feel like I'm drooping because I don't feel the bottom part holds me up enough. I end up adjusting myself several times throughout the day (fortunately, I'm a stay-at-home mom). The other reason I don't really like this bra is because it isn't padded. I don't need a lot of padding but I like some padding to hide the fact that I get cold. It was very easy to see that I was cold when I wore this bra, which my husband was delighted to point out to me. Since this particular bra doesn't suit me well, I ended up purchasing Playtex Women's Secrets Body Revelations Underwire Bra, Black Jacquard,36D which I LOVE and ordered several of them! I opted to keep this 18-hour bra because I can just use it for when I'm relaxing at home so it will get some use but I don't see myself purchasing anymore of these anytime soon (I'm in my mid-30s so this could change when I get older). I think if you are smaller-chested, this is a good option because it's comfortable, especially if you don't like underwire. I'm bigger on top and prefer padding and underwire so this bra doesn't suit me but others may like it. ... show more
