  • I wish controllers were a bit more durable.
Ah gamer rage. So easy to mock without caring if maybe the person you're mocking is a paranoid schizophrenic in daily pain from back issues. I've been through 3 controllers since I bought my PS5 6 months ago. Thing is, I've never thrown one or spiked it like a football player or twisted it or any of the funny stuff you see in rage compilations. Do I occasionally smack it against my empty palm? Yeah. Does that eventual lead to a trigger popping out or stick dislocating? Yup. Is my mental disabilities in any way Sony's problem? Nope. Tho it is interesting how many accessibility features they put into games and then virtue signal about doing so, yet adding a deadzone tweaking menu is just too much. And don't come at me with any crap about unfair advantages. Many FPS games already have a lot of options in their menus and if there was some "optimal" setting, players would just treat it as another part of the meta like weapon load outs and perks and stuff. The fact that I can have stick drift ruin a controller., even one I was never rough with, making a game unplayable, unplug that controller, connect it to a PC, load up the exact same game, tweak a few deadzone settings in Steam and play the game just fine, or even more USE A PROGRAM TO TWEAK THOSE SETTINGS AND THEN PLAY THE GAME ON MY PS5 VIA REMOTE PLAY, proves that either they dont care or they like the extra money that controller replacements bring in. My anger is my own problem. Controllers getting more prone to malfunction with each generation is not ok. Still, amazing controller when it's working. Honestly first one to feel good in my giant Mickey Mouse hands since the original Xbox controller, The Duke. ... show more
