  • Best thing that's happened to my game!
Style Name: 18 oz.
First of all, the reason this lost a star is not because of the cue but because of the shipper's poor packaging! There was very little packing material in the package to protect the cur from knocking around inside the box during transit. If you're not going to include a free case with a cue at this price, you need to package it so the cue is protected! As a result, there's one or two very small dents in the cue shaft. They're hardly noticeable and don't affect play, but a new cue shouldn't have any dents in the shaft. Now for the cue itself: first of all, the cue is not a Player's brand as advertised but a PureX cue, which is made by Player's. I was a little confused upon seeing this and was at first slightly suspect that I had been shafted (pardon the pun). However, it's an amazing cue! I've noticed an instant improvement in my cue ball control using this cue. The tip seems to be very good quality and allows you to get consistent and precise english on the cue ball. Without a doubt, it's opened a whole new category of shots for me because of this added control. Not only are curve/masse shots MUCH easier, but achieving good shape on the next object ball has become much easier. The shaft has no chemical finish (typical for good cues) on it and is extremely smooth. The cue glides like it's not even touching your hand! The linen grip is both even and very well pressed. I don't expect to have to have it re-wrapped for a very long time. The bottom line: If you're looking to improve your game, this is an excellent cue and will give you a significant advantage over using the beat-up and bowed house cues at most bars or pool halls. • HXT SERIES CUES ARE BEST CUES OUT OF LOWER LINE CUES
Style Name: 18 oz.
I am a Retired UPA Pro Touring Player and X owner of a Billiard School and Equipment sales company and have had access and have owned many of the highest line Cues on the market and I will recommend from experience that the HXT Line of Players Cues are by Far, the best cues on the market for there low end price tag. These Cues are built by Lucasi to compete with there biggest Competitors lower Line Cues, And they did by far the best job at it. The Low Deflection Shaft on the HXT series cues are just as good as ANY other low deflection shafts on the market except for spliced cored shafts. The cue itself is balanced excellent .. I recommend this cue to anyone that doesn't want to spend several hundred dollars and wants the performance as one, the biggest difference between them is PureX isn't using expensive inlays and instead going with graphics under the varnish. You will get pretty much the same performance with any of the HXT series Cues, some are slightly weighted different however pretty close. ... show more

  • Just a beginner so excited about my first wooden cue. It looks fantastic. Very smooth, straight, sturdy tip. Feels solid.
Style Name: 18 oz.
Awesome cue. My first wooden cue. (just a beginner so most of my cue sticks are composite - graphite, fiber glass, titanium) Quick delivery ( via USPostal). Will try it out next week ( it's Sat May 12, here). Grip seems slippery. Maybe, I just need to adjust because my composite cues have microfiber grips. But it looks terrific so I posted some pix for you guys who want a closer look (seth myers??) . One pix shows a comparison with my old Titanium cue - it's on the left side. Got some tip pix, wrap, etc. Will update actual use results later. ThanKs. Oooops? 18oz?? Seems I ordered a 21oz. If it doesn't feel right, I guess I'll get a replacement. ... show more

  • I could not be happier = EXCELLENT CUE
Style Name: 18 oz.
So far I have played at least 500 to 1000 racks with this cue . I bought this cue to take to the bar and play casually and if I forgot it at the bar and lost it , it wouldn’t be the end of the world. I am very very surprised how good this cue is , this cue feels and plays better then some of my fancy “so called , good cues” !!! Excellent value ,going to play my next tournament with it, no deflection, no miss cues ..... ... show more

  • This is a good pool cue, but think it’s a little overpriced.
Style Name: 18 oz.
I would says it’s a decent pool cue, I have a cheaper McDermontt about $65 and I’d say it shoots comparable/better. I’ve only been shooting with this for a few days to be far, but nothing is standing out and in not a huge fan of the tip, but I can always replace that. Overall I think it’s a little over priced, but not a bad cue stick. ... show more

  • Buy it, it will surprise you!
Style Name: 18 oz.
Great cue!! Ive played with expensive and inexpensive both....for a lower price point this cue offers a low deflection shaft and tip that normally are on higher end cues. I stumbled upon this cue and it sounded great for price. Ive seen vast improvement with the action I can get on a cue ball now -thx to this cue! Buy it....it will surprise you!! ... show more
