Both of my kids (ages 2 and 6) enjoyed this toy when we were home on a sick day. Ironically, I would say that 3 to 5 is probably the target age group. My kids had a blast making and decorating "ice cream" creations, and played with those creations for several days after. There are enough supplies for them to use it at least one more time (if not more). I would definitely recommend as a relatively neat rainy day activity. This ice cream set has been providing hours of fun for my 4 year old. He loves making me ice cream with all the toppings, sprinkles and syrup. I was worried that the syrups would be too messy but since they “harden” after they’re on the Playdoh, it’s not as messy as I anticipated.

Kids have been having fun with it. Has kept my 4 year old entertained multiple times. Not a fan of the liquid slime stuff (drizzle syrup). Although it’s a fun idea, It’s too messy. Great, cute playdough set for lots of play.

    • Creative ice cream sundays abound!
We love all the colors this set has. The special drizzle compound is easy to clean up once it has had some to dry a bit. It can get sticky though. Our granddaughter plays with it every time she comes over and offers us "desert". It keeps her busy for at least an hour. I think she really enjoys it.

    • a decent set for playdough just avoid the drizzles
The actual Play-Doh play set is pretty decent. Your usual Play-Doh and tons of fun molds all over the tools, which I love! The little cups and cones are adorable, and it is pretty fun to make tiny ice creams. Just make sure you avoid the drizzle things. I had assumed they were slime, but if that's what they were meant to be, they definitely messed it up. The drizzles I got were a sticky foul smelling liquid and when placed on any Play-Doh the liquid would mix with the dough and create a sticky almost cake batter like texture that needed soap and water to be washed out. The chocolate isint even chocolate colored its purple. Overall, it's an ok play set for what it costs! The actual dough parts work perfectly fine. If you're looking for something more interactive however, I'd probably recommend going to eBay and buying an older ice cream play set like the magic swirl ice cream shoppe. ... show more
