My kids had a blast making and decorating "ice cream" creations, and played with those creations for several days after. My 2 1/2 yr old grandson loved this. We played with it all day and many ice cream cones and sundaes. The topping is messy and does require supervision. It takes longer to harden before you can peel off than it states in the description. The topping leaves a stain on the play-doh. No worries though, because the play-doh colors get all mixed together anyway from making striped cones. This toy will require new play-doh often. I had to hold the base of the dispenser while my grandson pulled down on the handle. Overall it was a great hit and worth the money. The actual Play-Doh play set is pretty decent. Your usual Play-Doh and tons of fun molds all over the tools, which I love! The little cups and cones are adorable, and it is pretty fun to make tiny ice creams. Just make sure you avoid the drizzle things. I had assumed they were slime, but if that's what they were meant to be, they definitely messed it up. The drizzles I got were a sticky foul smelling liquid and when placed on any Play-Doh the liquid would mix with the dough and create a sticky almost cake batter like texture that needed soap and water to be washed out. The chocolate isint even chocolate colored its purple. Overall, it's an ok play set for what it costs! The actual dough parts work perfectly fine. If you're looking for something more interactive however, I'd probably recommend going to eBay and buying an older ice cream play set like the magic swirl ice cream shoppe. ... show more

This ice cream set has been providing hours of fun for my 4 year old. He loves making me ice cream with all the toppings, sprinkles and syrup. I was worried that the syrups would be too messy but since they “harden” after they’re on the Playdoh, it’s not as messy as I anticipated.
