    • With A Lot Of Patience, This Craft Is Great!
As I am writing this review I am having a hard time because I am laughing so much at the memory of working on this kit. I got it for our grandkids and my daughter who is somewhat crafty, but still kind of a beginner at a lot of the crafts out there, I think was totally over this craft before they barely began. I thought I was sometimes impatient, but she beats me on impatience and managing frustration levels when it comes to crafts. I have a lot more proficiency when it comes to this but the grandkids really like doing craft projects and art with mom and so I am trying to get mom more into it so that when new things become available, she is not too intimidated or stressed to dive in and try new ones. I am still laughing by the way. The craft kit comes with everything you need to complete this project, except for skill and patience, that will be entirely up to you. The project is actually quite simple, but you do have to wait for the string to dry for about 8-10 hrs, or overnight works too. Make sure you have a safe place to hang it where it's high enough that the little kids can't mess with it while it is trying to dry and set (in the bath/shower on the door rail works good, or if you have a rod in your laundry room where you would hang your clothes when they come out of the dryer). You can definitely have fun with this kit, the only thing I recommend in addition to this kit is to go ahead and get an extra few sets of fairly lights because the ones that come with this kit don't last very long. And if you choose to get this kit as a gift, please consider the age and experience level of the person you are giving it to when it comes to crafts. You would not want to give this to a small child, or a younger kid that doesn't have someone who is proficient with arts to help them. I do hope you find this review helpful! ... show more

I started this project excited because I was doing it with my daughter and nephews (ages 4 and 6) but became a bit disenchanted when I realized that even my seven year old was struggling with blowing up the balloon, tying the string around the balloon and gluing it. However, they rebounded with my help and completed the project. A big selling point for this kit is that it really does contain everything you need, start to finish. The biggest tip with this string art is to let it dry completely before taking the balloon out. I tried a little too early, despite waiting the recommended amount of time, and the balloon didn’t come off the string as expected. I decided to hang it back up and wait overnight and in the morning the balloon was easier to remove. This could be hit or miss depending on your kids but overall my daughter and nephews enjoyed it and fell in love with the final product. ... show more

I obtained this kit as a fun indoor project to do with my 4 year old when it was just to hot to go outside. We found brushing the glue on the string was to just to time consuming so we simply put the string in the glue mixture and wrapped the balloon from there. It took a bit longer to dry I'm sure, but the final product came out super cute. Our only problem was one of the fairy lights did not work so we had to string the moon and star together, but again the 4 year old didn't seem to mind ... show more

My kid loved this craft! She had so much fun with the string and adding lights. She was so proud when she finished it. She bragged to all her friends about it. Will be purchasing another one soon!

    • Not worth the money
Not enough yarn to make all the balloons inside. You are lucky to have enough for two. The glue is not great. I basically had to buy all new supplies and only used the balloons.

    • Kept my 7 year old busy for a long time!
My daughter really enjoyed making this! She needed some assistance in the beginning but after getting the hang of it, she was on a roll and enjoyed this activity very much! Great art kit and the materials used were of good quality.
