This advent calendar is a huge hit with my 4 year old son. It comes with the 5 containers of Playdoh (2 of which are sparkly) and every day, he gets to open a door and get a new Playdoh accessory. Usually it is a cookie cutter type toy, but he has gotten other things too, like scissors. He really looks forward to the daily event building up to Christmas. My 5-year old likes it - he is so excited to find something new every day after completing Santa's tasks. So far we've 'opened' half of the accessories and have already been using them several times (with a clay from another set as Play-Dohs from this set are supposed to be opened on 25th). One of the reviewers complained that all the pieces will be lost by 25th. But I'd say that any set of 25 pieces will be lost by kid without of parents' help - I've given him container on the very first day to store all the pieces and so far it has been working pretty well. We're also practicing counting and memory - recollecting daily the order in which all the pieces were coming. ... show more

Purchased for the 4 year old but it's been a huge help with indoor play with my two year old without fist fighting breaking out. Plenty of colors to share , and after a few days plenty of tools . Got one for under 20$ so definitely worth it.

I bought this for my five-year-old son as he is a huge play-doh fan. He thought it was the best thing ever! The play-doh cans store in the calendar and can be taken out and put back in so you can play as soon as you open the first days prize. He really liked the sparkle play-doh. A thing to mention though is that we discovered that it came with a playmat tucked into the play-doh compartment on Christmas Eve. I didn't even know it was there until my daughter found it. If you have a young play-doh fan then this is a fantastic Advent calendar for him or her. We will be getting these as gifts for the young ones in our family next year. ... show more

I'm not sure why, but I expected more. The box was a bit flimsy and after a few flaps were opened it just looked like I was using an old toy package as a decoration rather than a cute advent calendar. It was a decent price and the kids looked forward to opening the flaps every day and having a small play doh session. The kids would have probably given this product five stars but for me it was meh. ... show more

This was a big hit for the entire month of November. My preschooler loves all things play-doh and having a little treat each day was super fun. Now she has quite the array of Christmas themed molds and cutting tools and a rolling pin. This is a great alternative to candy advent calendars.
