The first step in the instructions said to load the staples butt end up. Well they MUST be loaded pointed end up or it won't work. They install like a bathtub liner into the staple tray and NOT like a tub cover. The pictures of the staples are also too small to see the staple orientation. IF that had been clearer, the rating would be 5 stars. Tested it on various plants that I'm always needing to attach to a support or trellis... they were various sizes of tomatoes from 2 ft to 8 ft long, a climbing rose bush, grape vine, 2 small sapling trees (sweet gum magnolia about 5 ft and a 3-4 ft crabapple), and several amarillis/iris flower stalks. All of that took about 15 minutes and most of that was walking to the next plant. Also tried it on a grapevine on a chain-link fence's top pipe (1 to 1 1/4 inch) and the throat easily tied the vine to it. I've used the hand tied tape, plant velcro wraps, various spring clamps, and metal twist ties. This approach is SOooo much better. Each wrap literally takes less than 3 seconds. Looking at the various Amazon price comparisons, this one also appears to be a great value.

Pros: Seems sturdy. Nice add on to wrap my raspberries plants, tomatoes, and cucumbers strings. Saves a lot of time. Easily usable and dummy proof. Price is adequate. Cons: N/A

comes with what seems to be a lifetime supply of tape and staples. Fairly easy to use, but you need to figure it out. There are no directions in the box that are of use. Just some directions on loading the tape gun. None on how to use. good quality, seems well made.
