This is a nice large tool box for storage of power/air tools. I have owned Plano products in the past for fishing gear, and they have always held up well. The latches fit tight, it has a lip inside of the top rim to keep any water out if it gets wet, and the removable tool tray is a sturdy, large tray sectioned off in 2 halves with a handle. I have (5) small pneumatic brad nailers/staplers, air hoses and accessories stored in this box, with a weight of about 20 lbs. stored in it. I can easily put a few more small items in there should I need to, and I am not the least bit worried about any additional weight compromising the sturdiness of this box. I should make note that the larger size of one of my nailers doesn't allow me to close the lid when the tray in it's place, but that's not a problem, since I use the tray separately as a handy tool caddy for small hand tools during other projects. If you are looking for a durable storage case for larger power tools such as routers, circular saws, or tools like these that came without a storage case, I think you will find it to be very adequate for the purpose, and an affordable price as well. ... show more

I have had one of these boxes for 15 years and have been extremely pleased with it. I order this one because I needed to have a second one on my truck. They are very tough and will hold a large number of tools(30-50 lbs). The box is large enough to put most hand tools you will need for most jobs, including the weight. The tray is also tough enough to stand on it's own to carry around on the job. The latches and handle are tough and withstand the weight and won't wear out like others I've used. If the box has been setting in the hot sun don't try to pick it up by the handle. These boxes are made to order if you have to carry a lot of tools around from job to job. Plano has been a great name in lightweight tool boxes for years and I highly recommend this box after all the years of experience I've had with them. ... show more

    • Good box for storing bulky but not too heavy items.

I liked the large size and depth of the box. The latching mechanism is rather weak so you could overload the box and then lift the box by the handle and have a failure. Still recommend the box but for very heavy items suggest getting a steel or metal box that is stronger with better latches.

    • Master Lock combo lock does not fit

I am a long-time customer of Plano and will continue to buy their awesome products in the future, but I wanted to make one note that the lock hole is too small for Master Lock combo padlocks. My keyed padlocks all fit all of my Plano boxes, but this box was the first one I've tried to use a combo lock on. Now I realize that none of my Plano boxes are made to fit a standard Master Lock combo padlock. FYI. Oh, well, I will expand the hole myself. Shouldn't be too hard. ... show more

This is a big tool box, a little more size than i expected. The material is not the most durable but I prefer Plano products over foreign made versions. Since I am using this for my vehicle to store jacks, ground triangles and other essentials if/when i have a flat tire this will be a good option for you. I'm using this item for a purpose a little off from its intended purpose. I go camping a lot, and wanted to put together a "kitchen" box that contains all of the items that I need that I can just grab and go. So, there's a skillet, tea kettle, jars of spices, can opener, cooking utensils, etc. All of this and some room to spare. For those of you having challenges with the soft tool bag storing your 4 piece 18v Ridgid tool set this is the box to buy! I was able to place: 18v circular saw 18v reciprocating saw with blade installed 18v jig saw 18v planer two DeWalt storage boxes for cutting blades and spare stuff two edge guides for the two saws vacuum dust port for the planer I keep my batteries else where but there is still room for additional stuff!
