  • Excellent quality academic year planner
Color: Dark Black C
I adore this planner. It has taken me years to find an academic year planner that suits my needs, and this one has it all. My must-haves: - professional appearance - durable cover and spine - quality paper so my ink doesn't bleed (I use Sharpie Pens) - month-view calendars interspersed through week-view pages (not in their own section) - extra room for notes - affordable This planner checks all those boxes and even provided some bonus features I didn't know I wanted! I ended up loving the pen holder on the spine, the elastic band closure, and the two fabric bookmarks. It also comes with stickers to create tabs for each month. I didn't use them in my first planner, but I might give them a shot this year. As I am finishing up the 18-19 school year, I made sure to order the 19-20 school year planner. I'm thrilled to say there haven't been any cut-backs in terms of quality. The only major difference I noticed is that the 18-19 planner ran from May 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019, while the 2019-2020 planner runs July 1, 2019 - July 5, 2020. I thought at first that would mean the new version would be slightly slimmer, but it looks like they compensated by adding additional notes pages in the back of the planner, which is fine with me. UPDATE June 2021: I have now purchased this planner for the FOURTH time. I don't know what I'll do if they ever stop making it. The 2021-2022 planner runs from June 28, 2021 to July 3, 2022. I'm adding some pictures, including a "before and after" so you can see that the planner I used all year has held up extremely well! ... show more

  • *The Best Compact Planner On The Market For The Cost*
Color: Dark Black C
I bought this planner as a Christmas gift for my wife. I looked at a lot of different planners and this one was by far the best planner for the money I paid. Great value. The textured 2020 embossed cover is both attractive and durable. There is an elastic holder attached to the back cover that holds the planner closed when not in use. The inside of this planner includes the following features. (1) Calendar stickers. (2) Quick reference information. (3) Holiday dates for the years 2020, 2021 & 2022. (4) Contacts. (5) Month view pages. (6) Day view pages with 9 lines to write on. There is a lot of space to write whatever you want or need to on these pages. 3 days are on each page. (7) 88 pages of lined note paper. (8) A page that has a map of all 50 states with their capitols and time zones. (9) Manila folder to hold things like small notes, receipts and shopping lists. (10) There are 2 ribbon markers (black & gray). The pagers are thick enough where ink doesn't bleed through to the other side of the paper. Various types of pens write smoothly in it. This planner is big enough to use as a go to place for all types of planning but is small enough to fit inside a purse. My wife is very pleased with this planner. So much so that she has decided to switch to this one each year. Great quality. Great organization. Great value. I highly recommend this product to other people. ... show more

  • Three Years and Counting!
Color: Dark Black C
I have Traumatic Brain Injury. I have tried almost every calendar app that exists for Android phones. None helped. It's not that they were "bad apps"; my brain is damaged in such a way that I can't use regular smartphone apps to keep track of my appointments. Four years ago, in December of 2017, I was hunting for a day planner that had monthly and weekly spreads and that was the same size as my all-important daily journal (A5). I found the ARTFAN Weekly/Monthly Planner. It had everything I wanted--the size matched my daily journal (A5), making it easy to carry in the small backpack that I use when I go out, but is still large enough to have a monthly spread for each month and weekly spreads that are LINED, so my handwriting stays neat and legible, rather than being all over the entry for each week. Plus, the monthly spreads are still large enough to make abbreviated notations in it. For me, I have found this planner to be sturdy and durable. I am part of my town's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). I work in Accountability, which means I am part of a team that keeps track of all of our members who come to any meeting/class/event/deployment. I always bring this planner and my daily journal. I have also found that other members come to me quite often to be able to "see" multiple months at a time. The covers and binding are sturdy and don't fall apart under daily wear and tear. In summary, if you are looking for a good, solid, durable planner that gives you monthly and weekly lined spreads in an A5 size, this planner it perfect. I have purchased it for 2018, 2019, and again for 2020 and I'll probably purchase it again for 2021 unless my needs radically change. Happy planning! ... show more

  • Great product, but has room for improvement.
Color: Dark Black C
Ive been buying this planner ever year for the last 5 years. It's perfect for my needs: ○ Its cheap, but feels like quality material. ○ It has both weekly and monthly sections, with more of an emphasis on the weekly portion. ○ No wasted space with gimmicky stuff like "this weeks diary thoughts" or other childish things many planners have. Its a professional product. ○ Useful front pages that cover federal holidays, contacts, and a few other things. ○ thick paper that prevents bleed through. Some things that could be improved, that hold it back from 5 stars: ○ Its inconsistent with how many notes pages it provides in the back, the first one I bought 5 years ago had a large amount of notes pages, and I used all of them. The most recent one I purchased had maybe 12 pages for notes... Sometimes the spine falls apart before the year is over. Overall its a good product and I would recommend it for other professionals. ... show more

  • My favorite planner so far
Color: Dark Black C
This is the first time I've used this particular planner and I was a little concerned before I got it. I'm normally a Franklin Covey/Day Timer kind of guy. However, over the years, I've gotten tired of spending $40 or more for something that is increasingly difficult to find and never seem to evolve. Luckily I came across this little gem. It has the look and feel of a more expensive planner but at a fantastic value. A couple of things I really like about it: 1. The off white paper. It's what many people would refer to as "eggshell" but to me it's more of a parchment color. It's very easy on my eyes and has a nice contrast with the blue ink I like to use. 2. The pages are thick and sturdy in comparison to other planners/journals I've used in the past. Also the gel ink pens I use, seem to absorb into the paper so it doesn't smudge easily. 3. 50 or so Note pages at the back of the planner. I like to have space to jot down ideas or random notes that I don't necessarily want on my normal daily schedule. 4. The removable tabs and 2 bookmarks. I don't care for tabs because they tend to get caught on things, come loose or tear the pages, but it's nice to have a choice. The 2 book marks make it easy for me to stay on the date and quickly reference the notes in the back. 5. The Pen/Pencil Holder on the spine. My preferred pen is the the Uni-Ball Signo 207, which is a thicker pen due to the rubber grip. I've always had difficulty finding journals that can accommodate that size pen and this one fits very nicely. It's a bit snug but not so much so that it can't be easily retrieved or put back into the spine. 6. The Lay Flat design, I can't stress this one enough. It's so nice to have a planner that isn't a binder style or spiral bound, that can lay flat when you write in it. My initial concern was that the pages would become loose or the binding would break down, but so far it has held up extremely well. If you are looking for a good quality planner that won't break the bank, then do yourself a favor and give this one a try. ... show more

  • This is well organized and useful planner.
Color: Sky Blue D
If you want a full year planner, and not one of the planners designed for students, I would recommend this one. I have been buying planners like this for years. It seems the company that I used to buy them from isn't on Amazon anymore, but this one is very much like the ones I've been buying. Since I have multiple health problems and multiple doctors, I really need a good planner. It has plenty of space for listing my appointments. In fact, I have several appointments already listed in this 2025 version. There is also plenty of space for the doctors' phone numbers and addresses. I also don't drive, so I need to keep track of the times I have scheduled with the local transit for rides to my appointments. My doctors' assistants all love to see me come in and when they ask for a list of my medications and allergies, I just open the book to the back pages and let them copy it, usually with a machine. I also use this to keep track of times I've had to take some of my "as needed" medications, so if there is a problem later, the book can speak for me. I also try to keep track of what I did in the books, like a mini-journal. Not only that, but I use fine pointed fountain pens and there is no bleed through. The paper also works well with the highlighters I use to color code the appointments, ride times, use of "as needed" meds, etc. Good book, buy it. ... show more

  • I’m fussy. This is great!
Color: Dark Black C
I JUST REPURCHASED THIS PLANNER FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW. Here is my unbiased review from last year, my first using this planner: I don’t want to admit how many hours I spent researching planners. I am fussy about office supplies, and I find special joy in using quality products to increase productivity and organization. This planner did not have every single feature I wanted, but it’s the best one I could find. (To be fair, the only thing it is missing that I wanted is a “year at a glance” page at the front or back that allows you to note things like doctor’s appointments or birthdays and see the whole year at, well, a glance. Aspects of this planner that make it a winner are the size—can be carried easily in a decent-sized handbag; the elastic thing that keeps it closed—very important to me; the pen loop on the side, the black cover; the sturdy pages—gel pens and felt tip pens won’t soak through, but extra fine tip sharpies do; the monthly square grids; and the cute stickers that you can apply to give each month a tab for easy flipping to the right page. What has turned out to be an unexpected, indispensable bonus is the generous number of blank lines notes pages in the back of the planner. There are probably as many bites pages as there are planner pages. At first, I thought this was annoying because it doubles the thickness of the book and adds weight. What I found is that it is amazing to be able to keep notes from doctor’s appointments, calls to credit cards or utilities, or other important calls or meetings in the same book as I note all of my appointments. It has turned into my “nerve center”—an excellent place to keep everything I will otherwise lose or forget. What I would love to see is the innards of this planner with a real leather cover. I would pay considerably more if such an item existed. ... show more

  • Elegant, durable, and well laid out
Color: Dark Black C
I just received this planner about 2 hours ago and I am really impressed. My last planner was a Moleskine Pro Daily Diary planner, but I wanted a horizontal day list rather than vertical, and I found this. The more I looked at the details, the more I liked it and ordered it. The cover is a nicely textured matte black with satin style embossed 2020 and ring. The binding is flexible, which allows it to lay flat and includes a pen holder on the spine. The inside pages are a cream color with grey lines that are much easier on the eyes than white, and the planner includes sticker tabs for each month with an additional 4 months into the next year. The pages are also a great weight, with no bleed through from the prior page. I am using Pilot V5 Extra Fine Rolling Ball pens in multiple colors and have had no issues. I may go to my 3mm Japanese import I got from Amazon as I think the written word in from that pen will look great on these pages. Pages and cover are rounded, which means no catching on things and there are two marker ribbons, which I appreciate as I can mark the full month overview and the current daily week at the same time (Moleskine had one). The area per day will work well with what I have to put down as a teacher, and the horizontal layout instead of daily columns will work out fantastically well (Moleskine had columns). 1/2 the planner is note pages (88 I believe). There is a pocket on the back cover that is good for a few flat items/stickers. The month stickers do not have a set location denoted on the page, which means you will have to cover some of the notes column on the right page. I should have measure or laid out the stickers first, because I misjudged and ended up having to put December on the bottom (in picture :( ). I personally would prefer a location designated for the tab and the tab not to have the full calendar as the page I placed it on IS the calendar, but that is my personal semi-OCD coming out. This looks like it is going to be the perfect planner and fits my needs exactly ... show more
