  • Great for a classic convertible.
Model: ZK-1002T
It sounds great, plenty of power for my two 35 watt ms 4” speakers. Very discreet “bing” sound when the Bluetooth connects to my phone. Easy to assemble and install. Doesn’t get hot. Audio pauses when I get a phone call (call doesn’t go through the amp). Solid and stable Bluetooth connection. Perfect “hidden” stereo for classic car - I left the original, broken, AM radio in the dash for looks, and replaced the single 4”x10” mono center-dash speaker with two Infinity 4” Reference speakers rated for 35 watts RMS (105 max) 4 ohm each. This receiver has more power than I need, so I have it’s volume set at 60-75% of max. I get a small but sufficient amount of base (pleasantly surprised), and nice mids and highs. I like being able to adjust base and treble. No hiss or noise. It’s loving the 13 volts my car delivers. I’m very impressed with this little receiver. No complaints, and almost free. The downside to this setup is that I need to touch my phone to adjust volume, skip songs, use Siri, etc. Also, an incoming call will pause the Bluetooth, but not route the call audio through the car speakers, and there’s no microphone,so no hands-free calling. My solution was to also buy “Aston Innovations SoundTek A1+ Bluetooth Car Kit”, and plug it into the AUX input of this little amp. Then I use the Bluetooth of the SoundTek instead of the Bluetooth on the amp, and I have everything I want: 1) Original looking (but not working) 1966 AM radio in the dash 2) Streaming music through Pandora or Spotify 3) Hands-free calling where I can hear and be heard, and use Siri No AM/FM, but who cares. The SoundTek has a 1.6” round control pad that I can hide in the ashtray or wherever. Through it I can control everything by feel, without needing to look an or touch my phone: volume, next song, previous song, pause, make a call answer/reject a call, or use Siri (voice commands). This amp, plus the hands-free SoundTek kit, sound great, and cost very little. ... show more

  • Cheap and Cheerful, Does the Job
Model: ZK-1002T
I have purchased a couple of these little Class D amplifiers to use for boosting the sound on the kitchen TV and as a computer speaker driver. These use a pair of TI TPA3116D2 amp chips to provide a clean sound output with low idle current. I use 20V 5A laptop power supplies to power these, easily obtained at thrift stores at low cost. I did remove the heatsink and apply a small dab of Arctic Silver heat sink compound to assist with thermal management. Small gripe: I wish there was a way to disable or select Bluetooth (switch), since pairing with Bluetooth disables the 3.5mm plug input. Nice amp, good quality, low price. ... show more

  • Nice Product
Model: ZK-1002T
The plethora of low cost class D miniature integrated Bluetooth amplifiers means competition is rife. They’ve added a preamp with bass and treble controls to this one which I’ve found to be significant. I’ve tried three of this class of product. They all sound a bit ‘muddy’ to me. I think, but haven’t confirmed that high intermodulation distortion is the cause. Having the tone controls allows you to brighten the sound, which, to me, makes them much more usable. These modules all offer ~30w and ohms law constrains how much power you can pump into 8 ohm speakers, irrespective of what sellers suggest. I used an old 19v / 4A power brick from a laptop. The brick is now more useful than the old laptop itself, and powers the amplifier nicely at a sweet point. I am told, but have not tried, this type of amplifier at higher voltage, and apparently they can get hot pretty fast. So don’t expect Hi-Fi from any of them. But if you want the small size, ease of use with Bluetooth for your next project, this is a good choice. ... show more

  • 16 volt @ 4.5 amps not enough power
Model: ZK-1002T
Amplifier arrived but looks different than what the amp in the picture looks like. Mine says whuzi audio, which is even better, because I like the logo. Running this amplifier at 26 volts @ 4.5 or 5 amps leaves this amp anemic and hungry for power once the volume is turned up to a certain position + ( over halfway) on this power supply. Distortion kicks in immediately and sounds awful. Maybe I'll upgrade to 24v @ 5- 7 amps. Other than that... These amps beat some American made amplifiers, producing hifi sound. ... show more

  • Amplifier better than I expected.
Model: ZK-1002T
Bluetooth amplifier has strong signal reception from an android phone. Amazing since the Bose enclosure has thick steel covering the amp and antenna to the front (but plastic top and back). Has an sound app for your phone from app store when you connect to Bluetooth (no password required). The Bose speaker still has great sound from really tiny speakers, probably due to the folded internal baffle system. Drilling the three holes for the knobs was the hardest part of this project- 2 layers of plastic to go through while keeping the holes straight and aligned. ... show more

  • Quite Impressive!
Model: ZK-1002T
I needed a little amplifier for a small stereo stage monitor that I made. I originally purchased the AK-170 class D amplifier off of eBay and I was initially impressed with the volume it put out as it was the first mini class D amplifier I ever purchased. Since that time I have purchased and tried several other small class D amplifiers and they all sounded about the same. I was looking at other small amplifiers on Amazon and thought I would give this one a try. When it arrived I had to do some minor assembly but it went together easy. After assembly, I hooked it up to the same power supply as my AK-170 which is a 12Vdc, 5 Amps supply. To my surprise the sound was night and day. This little baby has some kick. I fed my signal generator into this amp and it truly amplified sound down to 20Hz. It gave me the sound and body that I was looking for. It is definitely a much better quality amp than the others that I tried. Now I have to figure out how to modify my cabinet to accommodate this little guy cause this amp kicked the other one to the curb. I am going to experiment with a larger voltage supply as that will give me even more headroom and cleaner amplification. The blue tooth works perfectly though I think the sound is a little better when using the wired connection. You owe it to yourself to try this little gem. You won't be disappointed!! ... show more
