Very easy to assemble. Great value for price. Real true black. Matches well. Sat two plants (with trays) on it and some books with book ends. Looks GREAT! My husband and I are picky about quality. I am so happy with this table. It is made of solid wood, and very sturdy. I hesitated between the pecan and black finish but in the end I landed on the pecan because I found the color different from what I’m used to see, and also because I liked how the wood grain showed with this particular finish. Let me tell you that I’m glad I chose the pecan finishI, the table is gorgeous and elevates the second floor stairs landing where it is placed to a new level. Because price of the pecan finish was significantly higher than the black finish, I decided to go with a cheaper used unit. I was relieved that the table looked like it was new with not a blemish in sight. No assembly directions were provided but it is simple and easy to figured out. If needed, there is a customer video on the product page on Amazon showing the assembly process. I highly recommend this table, it is a great value for a, modern, sleek, solid wood, quality and expensive looking console table. It looks looks like a piece of furniture one may find in expensive stores ... show more

Seriously a gorgeous console table! It was THE perfect size for a small wall in our tiny foyer and the color is exactly what I was looking for. It was easy and very fast to build and is quite durable! I have a medium size plant pot, leaning mirror, frame and candle on mine and it stands up to it daily in a house with four kids and a kitten. This is a very cute accent table. It’s not too wide so it’s great for an entryway piece or behind a couch. The grain of the wood looks really nice and not too fake. Would definitely buy again, easy to put together
