I use these for tea and tisanes. Pros 1. Easy to clean. 2. Easy to use. 3. Look good. 4. Good quality. 5. Stacks well. 6. Keeps my herbs fresh. Cons 1. Same as any type vacuum seal for tea. You have to be careful with loose leaf tea so you don't crush the leaves. These make it easy, but if you just crammed the lid down your leaves would have a bad day and be crushed. 2. I have one of these with a bamboo lid and the lid had a piece break off. No quality issues with anything else. 3. If you want a good seal and to be able to put the outer lid on, you need to keep ingredients about 1.5-2 inches below top.

This product is everything they claim it to be. It’s really easy to use and keeps your coffee fresh! Holds a whole bag of coffee + more no problem. I also got the spoon which may seem like an unnecessary tool but it fits right in the canister and really helps when using this. I totally recommend this product and the red looks great too! Love it and will probably get another one soon since I like it so much I think I could use more of these.

This item is simple in concept, yet extraordinarily efficient and effective in keeping coffee fresh. The can is made of lightweight metal with an attractive outer finish. There are two lids - one that is pushed down to the level of the coffee while emitting air through a center valve for an airtight seal and another that sits at the top of the can to create a clean and attractive countertop presentation. Personally, I prefer to keep my countertop clear, so store coffee beans in a bread drawer; happily, the medium unit fits perfectly. Also note that the online description of capacity is accurate; the medium size is required for a standard 12+ ounce bag of whole coffee beans. This is a terrific find which I highly recommend.

I had previously owned two different ceramic versions of this container. They were a lot heavier than the metal one, although they also had more capacity. But the kicker is, they both were broken within a year because ceramic is very easy to break. This metal version is light years more durable. I would prefer not to keep my coffee in a metal container, but having accepted that this is the only durable version of this canister made by this brand (and I like the brand), I just accepted it and it's been fine. The lid tends to kick up coffee grounds especially if you let it touch the coffee (which you kind of have to do to reduce the air volume to the minimum). And I wish this were larger as its too large for one standard bag of pre-ground coffee and too small for two. But aside from those two issues, it's very good.

A good looking canister with an adjustable inner seal that effectively stores my coffee beans without an an air pocket in the container. Can I taste the difference between beans stored this way and beans stored in an airtight container that has an ever increasing air pocket (as coffee beans are removed and used) in it? I don't know for sure, but probably not. Regardless, the theory seems sound and the execution is well done. Nice product.
