I am a 38 and got the XL, and the elastic in them is just enough to make sure that they fit, since I am on the low end of the XL, according to the chart. These pants are lightweight polyester/viscose blend, which means that they have a bit of stretch to them and don't wrinkle badly. There are a few wrinkles right out of the package but they will disappear with the first wash/dry cycle. The fit is relaxed with a flat front and slightly gathered back. The cargo pockets on the side will hold a lot if you care to load them up. But there are also four other pockets - two front, two back. They have belt loops, should you want to wear one. I was worried that the seersucker pattern in the fabric would be be "too much" but it is very subtle. Overall, these are nice pants. But given the features and fabric quality, I would price them a bit lower. ... show more

These are a very nice pair of men's shorts. The fabric is lightweight and feels to be a water wicking material. The shorts are a casual cargo. Think business casual. They are made for walking versus hiking. While there are six pockets, side, thigh and rear, none of the pockets secure close. There are no zippers, velcro or buttons. Thus a nicer casual short. The sizing is generous. My husband wears a medium in shorts. Day in day out; a medium. I ordered a medium. These are quite LARGE. A full size more than his other shorts. Nice shorts. The shorts have a bit of elastic around the waist which is nice. The material is thin, but not too thin - it certainly isn't bulky. The pockets are a bit large and the flap does not have a closure mechanism (snaps, Velcro, button) which is fine. In general they are decent shorts and a good value for your money. I must say these PJ PAUL JONES Men's Cargo Shorts are some of the most comfortable shorts I have ever worn. The material is very thin and it almost feels like your not wearing anything.
