Just put these on (the black smoke effect set) and they look great, fit great too, all the bulbs fit in the sockets correctly and the tabs line up perfect. Only thing I would recommend is to squeeze the metal tabs it comes with together so that they aren’t so wide and won’t get stuck if you need to pull them back out. ... show more

This fits and works as advertised. The only issue is a small gap above the housing and hood of the truck that wasn't noticeable before. If it's not your truck you won't notice it though. This is a picky comment and doesn't seem to affect the functionality of the light or aerodynamics. I'll add that it doesn't make any extra noise driving if you were wondering from my description of the gap. ... show more

Don’t believe what the ad says, these ARE NOT direct fit and DO require substantial wiring modifications if you want the LED strip to work. Also, the physical fit is poor too. These are going back.

Everything went in pretty easily on 2009 F150 XLT. Lines up perfect. Looks like new. Things to note with regard to the metal retaining clips on the back of the assembly (no instructions): 1. Pry out the plastic rivets holding the rubber sheet in place around the inside of the old headlights and behind the ends of the bumper. Remove the 3 - 10mm bolts holding each headlight assembly in place. Wiggle/pry the old assemblies out and remove all the bulbs. The retaining clips bite onto the plastic alignment pegs on the back. Make sure you remove the original retaining clips left in the the slots in the sheet metal or things won't line up right during reassembly. 2. Remove the clips from the back of the new light assemblies, pre-install them in the slots and carefully orient the rectangular plastic pegs with the rectangular slots in the pre-installed clips (slip them into the slots in the body the easy way and rotate them 90 degrees). They can't go in otherwise and quickly get bent out of shape. 3. If you try to remove the installed assembly you might mess up the retaining clips so its a good idea to replace all the bulbs with LED at the same time (Costs about $75 less coupons and are way brighter and run way cooler than the factory incandescent bulbs! Even though they look great and fit well they are cheaply made. Only took three months before water got into the headlight. Spend the xtra money and get some better made headlights. I won’t recommend this product
