The insulation is not cut to fit over installed pipe. I will have to cut it and tape over the split. Much more work than I expected. The 3/8" thickness is correct but I was stupid to only look at the photo; assuming that the photo was of the size I-1/4" that I wanted showing a thick insulation needed for a Freon line. The folding up of the insulation to fit in a box prevents it from really getting straight or cylindrical even after a month of sitting on my bench. I will not buy more! ... show more

These work as expect and seems like decent quality after several months. FYI, there is not a 'pre-cut' side to easily wrap around the pipe, so be prepared to slice it open, then tape up your incision

The item is shown twice...once as a straight 6' straight molded solid foam unit (similar to to kids' "pool noodle") ....large photo....with a perfectly round center to wrap around a pipe. However, it comes rolled up like a pastry (small pic), is a thinner different foam material, and has no slit/perforation to open it to slip it over your pipes. They are advertised as "2 tubes/pkg.. " I needed six units total so I ordered 3 "packs of 2". However, I received only 3 individual rolled up "pastries" that came in a small box. ... show more
