    • Simply the best way to insulate copper or PEX plumbing.

I ordered this pipe insulation to protect PEX pipe in my classic Toyota Dolphin motor home. I am a fan of this soft closed cell foam tubing for its ability to stretch and move a bit for plumbing that jostles and moves while going down the road. I find it incredibly easy to cut and use as well as inexpensive. It is as easy to fit by simply stretching out the tubing to the desired length, snipping it with scissors. When ready to install, open the slit that runs the length of the tubing, and wrap around the PEX or copper pipe. Generally, I tape mine closed so it can’t gape open causing an unprotected spot that could freeze. Several of the most desirable attributes that foam tubing offers are its water resistance and that it doesn’t support mold growth. This is a product that works well to prevent freeze damage. It also helps to keep hot water from the tank to maintain its heat all the way to the faucet. This is a good product and I am glad my pipes are now better insulated. ... show more
