I bought this as a replacement for my 06 Suburban's double-din stock head unit. It was my first experience DIYing a radio replacement. The Stock radio has a 2" stair step relief in the bottom rear that made it fit in the slightly up slopped compartment. This Pioneer is completely square so it would not sit in the stock hole. Very frustrating to solder all the wires together and then find out it's 1/4" too long!!!! I was not going to hack up the dash to make it fit. I wish Amazon had warned me about the compatibility. Maybe, it was my inexperience. Fortunately, there was no hassle with return - one of the main reasons I use Amazon so much. I replaced it with a unit that had double din face but single din behind so everything fit extra easy. This is especially important when sandwiching in the PAC conversion box to retain steering wheel controls, Onstar, chime, etc. The second thing to know about this radio is documentation - pages and pages of it! Install guide us 28 pages, Manual is 112 pages. Personally I was overwhelmed by the number of steps but there is good detail. ... show more

This unit works inconsistently with bluetooth, have to unpair and repair everytime i turn my car on. android auto is a nightmare, it disconnects within seconds or minutes, I'll plug in my phone and as soon as I touch the screen or volume it disconnects, and wont reconnect until i restart my car, and then it just repeats the problem. The unit will also completely shut down at random and turn back on when it wants to. I bought this to be able to use android auto. ... show more
