  • Nice scope, but it’s extremely heavy
It looks good, and well made but the one thing that really bothers me is the sheer weight of this scope. I’m therefore returning it for something a little lighter.

I like it because the size of this scope is proportionate to my AR-15 rifle.

  • Gets the job done as a short-range scope
The media could not be loaded. The reticle is in the second focal plane, and that’s to be expected for a scope at this price point. The turret adjustments are in MOA units, and the reticle is in Milliradian units. This difference doesn’t matter because this scope isn’t intended to be dialed for elevation or windage on individual shots. Basically, the purpose of the turrets is to zero the scope at a specified distance. Once you zero the optic, you can use holdovers and holdoffs with the reticle to adjust for distance and windage. Just make sure you are at maximum magnification when using the MIL-Dots for distance and rangefinding. The scope is mounted to a Picatinny rail by turning two thumb screws on the base. The manufacturer doesn’t say how much torque to exert as you tighten the thumb screws. The eye relief is particularly close regardless of magnification. I would say it’s somewhere between 2 and 3 inches at most magnifications. The glass is much clearer and brighter than expected; however, there is noticeable chromatic aberration once you increase the magnification. The magnification ring is relatively easy to turn, but there is a gritty feel when turning it. There is no parallax knob. Most scopes that have a magnification above 8x include a parallax adjustment knob. Riflescopes without a parallax adjustment are generally set to be parallax-free somewhere around 150 yards for centerfire scopes. I’m not sure what the parallax-free distance is for this scope. The scope comes with a diopter ring that functions well at adjusting the focus of the reticle. The illumination lights up the reticle, but it also lights up the inside of the scope tube. I’m a bit uncertain about the purpose of the laser. I suppose you can use it to co-witness with the scope reticle at a specific range, perhaps the zero distance. Positives: Clear glass Illuminated Mil Dot reticle Scope caps Diopter adjustment Capped turrets Tactile and audible clicks on the turrets Integrated laser with batteries Negatives: Over-illumination of the scope tube No parallax adjustment knob Chromatic aberration Gritty magnification adjustment ring No torque specs for the thumb screws Turrets are in MOA units and the reticle is in Milliradian units Short eye relief This scope is probably best suited for a tactical-type rifle (gas gun) at ranges of 200 to 300 yards or less. I think this is an adequate scope for short-range shooting, and it has the typical quality and features of most scopes in this price range. Just know that this scope isn't intended for precision or long-range shooting. I will try to update this review after I complete some long-term work at range. The review score reflects my evaluation of the quality and features in this scope that are commensurate with most scopes found in this class and near this price point. ... show more

  • Awesome illuminated reticle and laser riflescope combo with lots of features – great price
Awesome illuminated reticle and laser riflescope combo with lots of features – great price The scope was flawless so the manufacturer must have very high Quality Control inspection standards. This is good price for this scope with great optics and a built in red laser. This scope has a lot of features that are well described in the website description. All I can add is that it does have a bright clear sight picture. I also really like the illuminated reticle for dusk and dawn shooting. However there are some not so good features. The turret caps are solid covers that protect the vertical and horizontal scope adjustments. The adjustments are finger control with crisp clicks but you have to remove the caps. I had planned to mount it on my 458 SOCOM but that caliber has a lot of bullet drop and I need external easy to adjust elevation changes. This scope will work very well for a really fast shooting flatter trajectory caliber. The laser and illuminated reticle run off of a superior long lasting CR2 Lithium Battery. In my state you cannot use a hunting rifle that shines any kind of light on your prey so be sure to check your own state’s hunting regulations. ... show more

  • Does the job
PINTY Rifle Scope with Red Laser has been a reasonable addition to my airsoft gear. It offers good value for the money, although it's a bit heavier than I expected. It's a decent choice for airsoft enthusiasts looking for functionality on a budget.

  • Not bad at all
I like this little scope. This thing is nice and compact, more so than the picture appears in my opinion. In my case, that was a good thing. The compact length made this a great fit on a tactical application where you would want a quicker draw. The housing holding the battery and laser seems solid and robust, metal housing not plastic. So far, everything has held zero fine with about 50 rounds through. My only complaint is that the reticule illumination on even the lowest setting also illuminates the surrounding lens housing which makes the target harder to see. Other than that, great for the money. ... show more

  • Pretty compact but also a bit heavy
I just put this on a budget AR15 and took it outside in the snow to test it out at 25yards in my backyard range. Surprisingly the laser and the scope were literally just millimeters off of zero. So I zeroed them bothe with my bite sight and shot away. I shot 60 rounds durning a heavy snow and 20F temps. Then I took it inside and let it warm up and then took it out back and shot another 60 rounds and both the scope and the laser held zero. It was fun to just point the laser and shoot and hit my target without looking through the scope. But you can use the red dot as an absolute co-witness which is also great. The new button and battery configuration is very nice. Now one battery and one set of buttons power and control both the laser and the illuminated reticle. The laser dot is rather large whether it’s 10 yards or 25. This was listed at $70 when I ordered it which is fair but I’d feel better buying it on sale for $50ish. All in all, I am leaving this scope on my budget AR15 for now as a replacement for my 30mm red dot. It comes with very tight fitting flip up scope lens covers too. And after its perfect performance going from 65F then into freezing snowy weather and back inside and back outside again, I’m giving this 2 thumbs up and a recommendation. Would give it 5 stars but it needs to hold zero for at least another 409 rounds for a full 5 stars. ... show more
