I bought this for my 8 year daughter for easter. She loved it. She was a bit nervous at first because she was a little intimidated but the thought of trying to paint the picture on the front of the package. But she soon saw how simple it was to follow the numbers. She was so proud once she finished. She got it all done in a single sitting and asked to get more. The packaging was so cute too and these make a great little gift. Highly recommend.

I haven't done a paint by number in many, many years, but I thought this looked fun for a rainy day activity. The product packaging is giftable - it comes in a tube with all supplies you need. You get the canvas, paintbrushes, color guide, and paint. The canvas is curled up some, but you can sit the paint on top to hold it down. Once you start painting it, the weight of the paint flattens it. The numbers are clearly printed, the paint is great quality and glides on smooth. The one brush has a few fly away strands that I had to clip off. I had to do 2 coats of paint on some of the lighter colors to hide the numbers. The paint dried pretty quickly so I was able to complete this within a few hours. I love the owl and am thinking of getting a different style for my daughter to paint. I would say this is best for ages 10 and up. Once you're done painting the canvas, you take scissors and trim it to size.
