i love the pastel shades and that they’re erasable but i have found 2 flaws: 1. while erasing over text in a book, it does slightly smear the black text. not so much that it’s illegible but it makes the page behind the text look slightly grey. 2. i haven’t used all the highlighters but i used the yellow pen to highlight passages in a self-help book, i would say i highlighted a moderate amount of 240 pages. by page 220, i noticed the ink was becoming a lot lighter and less vibrant. i’ve only had these for maybe 3 days, i always close the tip with the cap after highlighting too. it just doesn’t seem to last very long and i expected it to last longer than a few days of moderate use. by page 240, i was having to go over texts twice to make the yellow noticeably appear. ... show more

    • Good color -- sometimes erases words

In short, very affordable and effective highlighters for anyone who struggles committing to the permanency of highlighter markings. I frequently use them for my school notes for this very purpose -- having to quickly highlight things without thinking. The eraser works well on standard paper. However, given that you're pressing against the highlighted pen/pencil marks with high heat and friction, you're going to loose some of what's written underneath. I have found this to be a problem when it comes to softer paper, such as those in textbooks, in which the ink beneath begins to fade away (up to 50% loss in opacity of the printed ink at 90% or so removal of the highlighter color). But still, I'd take this over losing the printed ink marks entirely with whiteout! Now, I haven't tested how much ink the highlighters have in storage, but I wouldn't assume its a lot given how thin they are. Therefore, I tend to use nonerasable highlighters if I know for sure that I won't need to erase the color (such as when quickly annotating a literature book); but when it comes to something more delicate such as my notes, I'll always use these highlighters. In sum, you get what you pay for. It works; tends to erase the highlighted text a little, but so much better than using whiteout. ... show more

These highlighters are pretty pastels. There are 5 in my pack, blue, pink, yellow, green and purple. But they also come on other sizes, 2 pak, 3 pak, 5 pak (mine), 14 pak and 36 pak. And very reasoable, under $1 and more colors the larger the pak. They are sheer and easy to see through and if you make a mistake or mark the wrong thing, they are erasable. I use mine for marking my bingo cards. They have a chisel point and are quick dry (another good thing for marking bingo cards). Another thing to their benifit is that they are the Pilot brand and did I mention reasonably priced? I recommend that you try this and get the kids some for school so that when they mark their text books, they can erase it before the teacher sees it. LOL ... show more

So I tell myself over And over again why didn’t they invented these 10 yrs ago while I was in high school and college remember messing up highlighting using lemon to ease mistakes but couldn’t rehighlight. These are nice leaves little residue after you erase and can re-highlight. Now this ink doesn’t like to be written on by pens. If you use it like I did to fill In calendar days you will need to erase or use marker. ... show more

I'm obsessed with these highlighters. I've been using this brand for all of highschool and I think they're just amazing. all the colors are cute, they work so smoothly, they don't dry out or get chunky, and they last a super long time. I used these highlighters atleast once every single class period and the only one that had ran out at the end of the year was the darker blue shade because it was my very favorite. even as they start to loose ink, they work, the color just shows up lighter. the eraser works too! just do not use the eraser over pencil, because it will damage the eraser and stain the paper, but over text and ink the erasers do fine. 💗 ... show more
