  • Metallic markers
Love these. Individually wrapped, great colors and work with ease, if you keep capped and sealed.

  • Tip feel off
I wanted to like these metallic paint pens. I used to always get pentel metallic pain pens but these seem to be a lesser quality. I can’t find the pentel pens anymore. Probably discontinued. I’ve tried loooking at art supply and Japanese stationary and book stores where I used to get them. These pens seem to contain less paint than the pentel s did. But still need shake them to get paint flowing. ... show more

  • Beautiful and Effective
Very nice quality. Fine tip was impressive. I did not anticipate it could be pulled off effectively, but it is very nice. Marker ink does take a minute to dry so be careful. Test the markers out before assuming the color is true to the cap. Colors may be a bit deceiving. Looks beautiful on black art paper. ... show more

  • I was really looking forward to these pens...
I've just recently started painting rocks, and was looking for a set of metallic paint pens to add a bit of flair. Since most of the rocks I've been working on are small, these seemed perfect as they go down to a 0.7m tip. (I've been working with another brand of paint pens for all the basic colors, and the extra-fine tip works best for me.) Some of the metallic colors are beautiful -- hello dark green! -- but others aren't even close to being the color indicated on the cap. The metallic element in the yellow is very dark and dingy when viewed directly, the black is much more grey from all angles, and the white doesn't appear to have any metallic luster at all. I can deal with some of the shades being so off, but the actual quality of the pens is affecting their usage. Simply taking the cap off of these pens is often enough to unscrew the entire top, exposing the paint inside. Even being partially unscrewed dries out the paint, and I haven't always caught when this happens until a few hours later. Also while uncapping I've accidentally somehow gotten into the sponge/foam and spring mechanism; not the easiest thing to put back together when the sponge is filled with paint. One pen has a cap that is incredibly hard to get back on; the amount of force it took last time for the cap to fully seat makes me doubt I'll be able to get the cap back off. And even when I've made sure everything is tightly sealed, fully screwed on when putting the pens away, the next time I use them there's always a few pens that have gone dry. Re-priming them gets a few of them working again, but there's two pens that just won't restart. (My guess is the paint in the sponge completely dried, creating a permanent barrier.) Finally, I do use more traditional acrylic paint along with pens. These pens do *not* get along with other paints. Perhaps I am spoiled by the drying time of my other paint pens. Ten to fifteen minutes of drying time, and these pens still smear badly when gone over by another acrylic paint. Glazing medium practically dissolved these pens after a half-hour of drying. And the less said about the sealer used after letting these pens dry for 24 hours, the better. Three stars, because some of these colors *are* beautiful, and if all I'm doing is lettering they work well. Mod Podge applied after 24 hours of drying, before sealing the rocks keeps lettering from literally running off the edges of the rocks. But I won't be buying this brand again -- although since the pen mechanisms are so easy to get into, I might try refilling them myself once they're empty. ... show more

  • They're beautiful colors, I would by them again, no doubt!
The only issue is that one of the markers was messed up. They're individually wrapped in plastic and you have to shake them, then press down on the tip to get the paint flowing so you can write. One marker was leaking from the tip when I opened it. Too much paint comes out when use it so it's a bit messy and dispenses the paint unevenly. Other than that they're great! ... show more

  • Not typical paint marker
I've been an artist for decades. Saw these along with the description. Thought the tips are like other metallic variety I've used. Believing they would have a similar color interest based on what is shares. The actual pen appear similar to calligraphy tools. Except the tip fills with ink bleeding out. Rather than forming to the use. I've not been able to get a .7 fine tip width at all. I’ve only opened the black to test these markers. The color of the cap didn't appear to match the color guide on the back cover. Black looks grey to me on the cap. It is black, but sadly makes a pool of ink. Which gives me no ability for detailing. Or writing letters with metallic colors. I'm returning these and will try a different brand. Some people may like these. As others have described and my use of one I’m not seeing how these could be useable for writing or as others have posted. Even when I took out the marker by unscrewing the second cap could not get the pen to write at .7. Disappointed. Glad I tried something different. For me these don't work ⭐️ ... show more
