For multiple reasons I’ve stopped going to the gym. I still wanted to work out, though. Purchasing expensive equipment that takes up a lot of space in my home was not an option. After searching online I came across this Portable Pilates Equipment for Home Gym Workouts. It checked all the boxes so I thought I’d give it try. First off, the price is right – especially if you’re looking to try something new. Next, the equipment is good quality - very sturdy and everything screwed or clicked into place easily while feeling solidly in place. This bar has proved to be very versatile – I’ve used it for some of the recommended pilates exercises that come on a chart that’s provided, and also for stretching and yoga exercises. I’m not in the greatest shape at the moment and resistance bands have proven to be the perfect way to get back into the groove without hurting myself. I really appreciate that I can easily adjust the resistance (which you’ll need to do depending on your height). And lastly, as I mentioned in the beginning, I don’t have a lot of space so the portability of all the pieces makes them easy to toss into a storage box and hide away. If you’re on the fence about trying a pilates bar kit I’d say that I’ve found this one to be a great value for the price. ... show more

I got a quality workout using this kit. Easy to put together while changing exercises. It’s a good value for the price! Lightweight but it’s not cheap. I got good resistance from the bands and could see myself using this daily. Overall, great product.

I'm loving the different things this kit comes with. It comes with a big bar handle and some regular singles as well as the resistance bands. Best of all, for a beginner like me, a handy training guide for different poses. All of this fits in a pouch that it comes with so you can keep it together.

Very poorly manufactured. One pair of bands didn't match in length, and it was very noticeable when working one side of my body and then the other. Also, when holding the bar, if your wrist even barely grazes the ratchet on the attachments, the straps release and cause the attachments fall out of tension. Dangerous and annoying. This is a very nice resistance bar set. It all fits into its own bag so it really can travel with you. It has very nice features that I don't always see on other sets and it is set at a very reasonable $30 retail price. The combination of the price point, features and construction makes this an excellent buy IMO. Some of the most noteworthy features that distinguish this set from many others that are available. First, the bar itself is a metal tube versus some that I have seen that are plastic. Granted it s a very thin walled tube, but with the resistance bands included, you shouldn't every exceed the limits of the bar with those bands provided. The foam covers almost the entire bar so you get a comfortable non slip grip anywhere you place your hands. The included combination hand/foot handles works well and are comfortable to use. This further adds versatility to the exercises you can do with this simple little bar One of the best features that I don't see often is the adjustable attachment points on the end of the bar. This simple little feature which simply attaches the band attachment point to a length of webbing that you can quickly adjust via a cam lock. This allow you to better the control the resistance depending on your physiology and the type of exercise you are doing. A perfect example is when you are going from standing curls to an overhead press. While the resistance may be perfect while you are doing the curls, when you go to the overhead press you have have too much resistance making it difficult and dangerous to complete this exercise. By lengthening the attachment points (which are also marked off to make adjustments quick , easy, and even) you can give yourself almost another foot of length thus lessening the resistance. I got this for my wife. It has lots of components, and she was excited. She has never done pilates before, so it appeared overwhelming for her to use. The only con she says is that she wishes it included some videos.
