Once upon a time, guitar players often used real tube powered amps, and sometimes, they were separate from the speaker cabinet. You kids might think it strange to not plug straight into your laptop or other millennia digital device, but you’re wrong. Probably wrong about a lot of things, but this for sure. Like, you probably think a regular instrument cable is good enough to run the distance from Real Tube Power to the speakers. No, no, nooooo. Real, pure guitar tone and wattage requires a cable that can carry the load without signal degradation or offensive tweaks to your amazing (well, my amazing) analog tone. This cable has no hiss or cracks or loss of signal between my Carvin X65 (iykyk) and cab with 2 Marshal classic 12 inch speakers. The ends are beautiful and are worthy of my rig. So, when the fad of DI into the sound board and sampled sounds go the way of Milli Vanilli, you will want this cable. Trust me. 5 stars ... show more

I bought one Pig Hog cable and was so impressed that I bought a bunch more, so if my reviews of them seem similar it's because all the cords are great. These are very thick and durable, but they still flex well. The ends are wrapped in a cover so the jacks don't come unscrewed like my regular cables do. The wrapped ends are wrapped faily far, farther than other cables with wrapped ends that I have had, so they do stick out a bit far from your amp or guitar jack. I have a guitar with the jack on the front and this stuck out so far that I kept almost hitting it, so I bought one with a right angle on one end, without a second thought because I was so impressed with the cord. I've bought a lot of "regular" cords and also cheap cords, and this seems more well built than all of them. I got them on sale and they were not really much more than regular cables. They were double the price of the cheap cables, but I've had the cheap cables stop working after a few times of moving around too much, apparently, so the cost savings went out the window when they get shorts and I have to replace them. NOTE: The photos show white ends, I got black, but I don't really care. Plus I saw another review that said the same thing so I just assumed I would get whatever color. I also bought a Pig Hog speaker cable, and the photo on that listing was blue ends, and that's what I received. If you are reading this review, just buy these, you won't regret it. I've been playing for 30+ years and I don't think I ever had a cable that felt this durable and substantial. ... show more

I purchased two of these to replace some speaker cables that I was using that were from like 1999. These are a much nicer construction and they work great. The two that I bought were sold as "used - like new" and one of them certainly was, the other one however had some damage on the sleve of the jack. It was not bad enough to affect the performance but, I can see how someone would want to return it if they had paid full price for it. Getting two cables for less than the price of one was great but, just be careful buying used items because if someone returned it, there's a 50% chance it's got damage that someone didn't inspect well or intentionally overlooked. ... show more

I had to cut off the blue rubber of the metal ends just to get this to fit into my audio interface. Kind of annoying that the 10 ft. is thicker than the others. But it didn't effect the quality. Superb
