The last three vendors from whom I've purchased frames have switched from glass covers or wood frames to plastic ones (and only one of them gave me advance notice). While I certainly appreciate the price of such frames, plastic covers undermine the value of the photos I wish to sell or donate for fundraising, and I can tolerate composite wood frames that actually LOOK like wood. So as long as Picrit can stick with those two ingredients in this price range, I can stick with them!

So the good news is, the glass is glass and not acrylic which is awesome. But the composite wood is not the greatest looking, but not the worst. It also seems to pick up dirt and fingerprints easy. But they will work for what I need them for.

UPDATE: once i had already put photos in the 8x10s i didn't want to switch them out, return, and buy something else; i was kinda stuck with the bad 5x7s. seller reached out and offered a replacement set of 5x7s. i have now purchased multiple sets of both 8x10s and 5x7s. seems the bad batch was an anomaly; all other boxes of 5x7 frames look great, exactly like they are supposed to. i did end up removing the kickstand in the back, they make the frame stand proud of the wall a little too much. ORIGINAL REVIEW: bought a set of 5x7 and a set of 8x10, same manufacturer. the 8x10 set arrived first and looked great. the 5x7 set not so much... the 5x7 set looked odd at each corner until i found my readers and figured out why... each side of the 5x7's had been covered with some sort of black tape; the tape didn't meet in the corners and it wasn't black all the way through. the glass is very, very thin. tried covering the part of the tape that wasn't black with a very tiny black marker - didn't work. these frames only look nice from a distance. cheap and DEFINITELY not worth it. sorry i bought them.
