I mainly wanted to try this pickleball paddle to see if I could detect any difference in the way a carbon fiber face played compared to the more common (and typically cheaper) fiberglass face. I couldn't detect any significant difference. Maybe that is because of me being at the intermediate level of skill. In contrast, I know the pros seem to like carbon fiber. However, I did not mark down the paddle for carbon fiber since I think that material is perfectly fine, though as I said, I could not detect any great advantage over fiberglass. My problem with the paddle is the grip length. Now to their credit, if you look at the pictures, you see the grip length is listed at 4.8 inches. Good for them for providing transparency! In my experience, that lenth is below the average grip length of most paddles, and of course, much shorter than the longer 5.5 inch grip options that are available. I don't have huge hands, but they are longer than average and match my 6'4" frame. I basically cannot use this paddle for long because my hand feels like it is falling off the end of the grip. I know if you are going to make a "legal" paddle you need to keep dimensions within an overall limit, but in my opinion, it is a mistake to cut the grip length to below average so you can expand other areas of the paddle. This is really too bad since the manufacturer has an attractive paddle with the coveted carbon fiber face, all for a reasonable price. ... show more

This pickleball set is perfect for my family because we are beginners, and it comes with everything needed to start playing! It comes with a nice carrying bag, two paddles, 4 balls, grip tape, and a cooling rag (water must be poured on it). The paddles are lightweight comfortable to hold. Just starting on this activity so I only have tennis to use as reference. The grips seem a little wide for me but I'm not sure if that's specific pickle ball or something of preference which means I may have to find another paddle. Grip aside, the material seems to be made well and feel rather light. I appreciate having a starter kit so I don't have to go get a lot of one item only to end up not needing it anymore. The bag is nice to have but not as convenient but it also screams noob. I may just stick everything in a backpack. Otherwise, it's a nice set and it claims it's USAPA approved. Now time will tell how well these paddles hold up but I'm guessing it fits the saying "You get what you pay for" ... show more

Overall a good starter set. Lots of extras and goodies, such as the grips and towel. The paddles have a solid balance of control and power. They are relatively lightweight and forgiving for a beginner. The balls, on the other hand, are not as good. Both outdoor balls cracked the first day using them. We are new to the pickleball craze, so we didn't really have much experience to shop on other than searching for a paddle that looked like an oversized ping pong paddle. We selected these because they're USAPA approved and carbon fiber. These two features appeared like a good place to start. We have not been disappointed with these paddles. Making this an even better purchase was the included 4 pickleballs, two additional grip wraps, a cooling towel and a nice carrying case for everything. We are very happy with this set and have enjoyed the performance of the paddles. Although the carrying case is small, it would have been nice to have an over-the-shoulder strap. Not a huge deal, but we carry so much stuff to and from the court, a shoulder strap would have been a nice addition. ... show more

We needed an extra set of paddles so I ordered these. They came in a nice carrying bag with a set of 4 balls. The handles are wrapped providing a comfortable grip. The weight felt good and I would definitely by this set again.
