I'm a relative beginner, clawing my way up to 3.5, and these have served me well. Construction seems reasonably solid, ball response is consistent, durability has seemed good. I've also loaned them to people and never had a complaint. Maybe when I get better I'll start to crave something more specialized, and be willing to pay more, but meanwhile these have more than lived up to expectations for a reasonable price. ... show more

Our crew recently took an outing to an indoor pickleball facility, and all found these paddle to be more than adequate for novices. We are experienced with tennis and racquetball - pickle ball is new, but the basic concepts are quite similar so we feel we can evaluate paddles decently. We've acquired other paddles which purport to be carbon fiber, and ones that clearly are high-quality carbon fiber, so we think we've got a bead on this set. Bottom line, we like them, and at current price of ~$27, the value is solid. Decent sweet spot, and with this set the crew was more concerned with getting the ball over the net than implementing tricky spins.
