My gaming strategy and general performance have increased as a result of the textured surface's great spin control, which has enabled me to do better. Due to the fact that it comes with two paddles, this set is ideal for playing doubles or for sharing with a friend. During furious rallies, the paddles will not slip out of my hand because of the pleasant grip since they are designed to do just that. The paddles have a great, textured grips and a solid weight that performs very good.The sweet spot feels great on serves and return shots, and even miss-hits are forgiving. The carrying bag is very good quality! The two paddles, four balls, and extra grip tapes fit perfectly with extra room to spare. I highly recommend this set!!!

IF you happen to be coming from the world of Tennis into Pickleball, may I suggest one of my strongest suggestions on this set if you're looking for entry level (and a bit higher) exploration? THESE paddles need strong and educated consideration. If you PLAN or already do use double-handed ANYTHING, or have large hands, this paddle set really needs to be considered, and likely purchased, if looking to explore the game of pickleball on the right foot/hand. If you know the added value of carbon fiber in the face of your paddle...how it adds value and impacts the game substantially over the once-common entry level WOODEN paddles, and the current-common entry level (and quite good, mind you) poly core/fiberglass face paddles...it would serve you VERY WELL to consider the slight extra initial investment for this set over a myriad of the aforementioned. WHY? Because it simply is quite difficult to find even ONE carbon fiber faced ELONGATED paddle for under $50. What is elongated? They typically sacrifice a SMALL amount of head-width for a handle that is over 5.5" in length. Most entry level paddles are 4.5"-5.0" in length, and offer a rather wide head. Great for beginners, but tight for larger hands, using both hands, AND shorter overall by about an inch, which results in missed balls on occasion too far beyond the furthest stretch...coming from racket sports, this will be sorely noticed almost immediately: "WHY is this paddle soooo short?!" Trust me, the extra inch in length is SO worthwhile, if you're already familiar how to find the centerpoint/sweet spot through your swing into a weapon as an extension of your hand. These paddles might be on the upper end budget for "entry level", but if this sounds to make sense, the others will be tossed aside faster than you'd have expected. I gave mine away almost immediately as they were an OBSTRUCTION for me to be able to immediately enjoy the game to its fullest. I quickly rose to a 4+ level, competing with level 5 players when switching to elongated forms, and into the RAW CFS heads. THIS SET of paddles are a GREAT and reliable launching point for the serious athletes entering the game and figuring out whether they'll be addicted or not, and just WHICH paddle that typically costs $100+ is right for them...and will compete well for a few solid, unforgettable months! For that niche of players (or the beginners who want to 'just have something better' than the masses) I SUBMIT THIS SET AS A VERY STRONG 5 star recommendation. (of course, for those that are with inkling to rise quickly and surrounded by others who know it, you'll likely have access to borrow great paddles until settling on what area you'll delve into with serious personal paddle investments over $100 to "learn" with.)
