Alright just to give a little background, I definitely am not a pro when it comes to pickleball, but not an amateur. Not a die hard fan, but I’ve played quite a bit, and I’d say I’m pretty decent. Our family has played enough the past couple years we poured our own court though. I’ve played with paddles different price/quality ranges, and I’ll be honest I’m not that picky. I’m content using the cheap old wood paddles or the nicer ones. It’s more about the skill than the paddle, and different paddles will take a little learning curve as to how they hit. This paddle when I first played with it, had slightly less forced behind it than I’m used to. What I mean by that is when I hit the ball, it didn’t fly as far as expected. Not a bad thing at all, as I honestly feel it gave me more control. The surface is definitely gritty, in a sandpaper kinda way, maybe comparable to a 320 or 400 grit, which again I would say helped in control, particularly when putting some spin on the ball. It does hold a bit of dirt, I’ll show in a picture. Light for its size, as it’s significantly thicker compared to, for instance this cheaper paddle I had given to me way back when someone apparently felt I should use something other than the wooden ones lol. I’ve included this in the picture. The one thing that drives me nuts on cheaper paddles is when the rim covering comes loose and starts crackling, I can’t stand those. That’s where I do get picky, and this one so far has been solid, and nothing is loose. The grip is comfortable, nothing bad but also nothing special there. Feels just as quality as the $130 paddle I’ve used that my cousin bought. The cover is good quality, nice that it comes with extra grip to replace. Overall, it works great, I will keep using it, probably my favorite paddle I’ve tried. And if over time something causes an issue I will update. Final note, maybe it won’t matter to you, but just my opinion. When it comes to a paddle in this sport, I honestly don’t see the value in this. To compare, the paddle in my photos I believe now you can get in a set of 2 for $25. This paddle without discount is $130, when I ordered it was I think $90. Is it nicer than the cheap option I have? For sure. Is it 5 times the value? Again, my opinion, no way. The slight improvement of control is nice, but it’s not worth that to me. If pickleball is your absolute favorite sport, and you want to try out a new paddle, and have the money to spend, and this paddle appeals to you, I’m sure you’ll like it. But for me, if I ever need to replace it, I’m sticking with cheaper options. Value is why I deducted one star

A couple of years ago, I fell backwards on a rocking chair and lost the use of my right arm. After 6 hours of surgery, I got the use of my arm back, but not its strength. So there I was, post-tumble, with a right hand and arm that decided to take a vacation.
