Very nice piano bench with ample storage inside for piano books or anything else you want to store there. The height is perfect, although you can’t adjust it on this bench, but still with this bench there is no need. It is a dark brown color on the legs and black leather on top. Very beautiful.

I loved the leatherette seat top. It is durable and the seat cushion is well padded. The easy wipe shiny black base and legs are well constructed. The music storage under the seat cushion is a thoughtful feature. It has considerable weight capacity to permit multiple players at once and came with a small wrench for easy four screw assembly.

Nice bench... strong and sturdy. Hinges worked smoothly. Quality control on the legs is lacking, tho. One had a dent on the OUTSIDE corner. One had a gouge, again on the OUTSIDE corner. They painted them anyway. The only good leg didn't get painted correctly! It looked like black orange peel. But no problem, eh manufacturer? Go ahead... paint the rejects and put them in boxes for your customers. I ordered two benches, and sent one back.

Like other reviewers, the faux leather seat does has a stinky, almost mothball like smell. Hopefully this will go away after a few days. The bench does not come with instructions, but it wasn’t too hard to figure out how to put it all together. It’s basically just screwing on the legs. Yes, all the “wood” parts do look like they were spray painted with a glossy black paint. The surface does leave fingerprints FYI, but it seems easy to clean. I bought this for my 11 year old, so I think it will work just fine for her. It felt sturdy enough when I sat on it to try it out. Bench compartment seems like enough space for some music books. Overall, it’s a good enough bench for my kid to use, but fair warning it’s made out of cheap materials. Definitely glad that I bought it on sale.

Chair looks okay but there were scuffs on two legs and one nut was missing. Bought the missing nut from a hardware store for 16 cents to put the chair together. Will keep the chair but you have warned.
