I do really like this bronzer set and I think the best part is that there are two shades so depending on how tan you are, it’s easy to build only a little color or a lot. It is also super nice that it comes with a travel brush and a mirror. The third shade I use as a highlighter, and I typically only highlight the bridge of my nose. Nice addition to any makeup collection. I got the natural matte one because I didn’t want the contour and bronzer to have shimmer. The brush in this kit works well to apply these shades. Middle is the contour/shadow, left is the bronzer, right is the highlight. They are subtle and blend well.

For the record, I am a longtime Physicians Formula wearer, and their products can be hit or miss. I am not being paid to leave a review, or representing anyone but myself here. This is the first time I tried PF's countouring powder, and I've used it for about three seasons. I like it. I don't love it. I have very pale skin with pink undertones that is uber-sensitive and I have to be very careful about sun exposure. Anything can make me break out in hives or eczema, at any time, even if I used it daily for years. Thankfully, PF products have never done that to me, in almost a decade. As for this product, the shades are where I take some issue. They worked best for my tone in summer, but now, in winter -- I'm shopping for a different product. * The dark shade is really mahogany-like, so I have to blend, blend, blend in daylight or risk looking like I smeared mud on my face. It's good for shading jawline and cheekbones with a light touch at temples if you need it. Beware, though. If you are very pale, you want a very light touch with this one. *The medium shade is very subtle and helps blend and soften the dark. It also works well as a matte bronzer, around sides of the nose, and wherever you need just a little definition. This is the best shade of the bunch, honestly. At least for my skin tone. * The light shade is, frankly, worthless to me. It gives my skin a pasty, chalky look and looks heavy. Yuck. I occasionally use it in tiny spots as a concealer, but as a contour powder, it just looks like I put on way too much setting powder or something. Instead, I use my lightest shade of matte eyeshadow (also a PF product) and a higher-end illuminator for highlighting. Those results are beautiful, frankly, even on my 38 year old skin. All in all, PF's contour colors are suitable for pale skin, but may be better on other slightly darker or warmer skin tones, or on summer tanned skin. ... show more

    • PERFECT contour shade for fair/cool skin!

So I can’t comment on wear time, but I am sooo excited after using this for the first time that I wanted to use that energy for a review or else I knew I might not write one. I have close to a dozen contour products that I will never use unless I’m desperate for a bronzer bc they are all way too warm for my skin. My mother used to say I had ‘peaches and cream’ skin (which I’m not sure is a thing?) but essentially I have very fair skin with cool undertones similar to the complexion typically associated with redheads, but without the freckles. This is the PERFECT shade contour for anyone who matches the foundation shades commonly named porcelain, alabaster, or light ivory and has struggled to find something cool enough to use. It’s pigmented, buildable, and easy to blend. The brightening and bronzer shade are a perfect compliment as well. If you are fair with an olive or warm undertone, I would imagine this might be too grey for you... but for anyone else out there with cool and fair/pale complexions- I’d highly recommend!! ... show more

I liked the cool tone in the middle, so I decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did and the middle is a nice contour shade for me, but I'm not loving the other two shades. I prefer the physicians formula butter bronzer for warmth and will absolutely continue to use that one over the warmer bronze shade in this palette. ... show more

    • Best contouring product I’ve ever used, and I’ve used them alllll

I have a lot of makeup, ranging from drugstore brands to expensive, high-end brands, and this trio is my go-to for bronzing and contouring above all others. The brush it comes with is pretty useless to me personally, but there is enough space in the package for me to stash another travel brush I actually use with this product. It’s not so warm that it makes you orange, but not so ash that it makes you gray. I use all three colors and they all work beautifully. I’m 37 and I have my share of fine lines, and this product does not accentuate texture on my skin or fine lines, of which I have many.     • Top 3 Contour for Ghostly Pale Skin

I'm about as fair as they come. That makes finding contour powders difficult. The center color in this palette is in my top three favorites. I like that it's very cool. It edges towards a slightly purple/grey taupe without being so purple/grey that I have to be careful. It goes on sheer,but really nicely pigmented. If I want it to be a little warmer, I'll blend it with the lightest shade of Profusion Cosmetics contour powder. It's also a great ghostly contour if wanting a cool taupe without the purple/grey undertone. The Profusion one is just a skosch warmer. I don't use the outside powders normally. The bronzer color could work for eyeshadow, I guess. The highlight is too dark for me and is chalky looking on my skin. If they ever make the center color as a contour all by itself, I'd be really happy. The one thing I don't like about this product is the container. Mine won't open all the way without lifting the bottom up and it drives me nuts because I can't just open it and sit it on my vanity. It will close if I try. Other than that, it's probably the cheapest contour that works great for really pale skin, and it blows every luxury brand I've tried out of the water. Two thumbs up! ... show more
