2016 Jeep Cherokee sport: The pump does not fit. The connection part of the assembly is turned 180 degrees from the lower pump portion as compare to what is in the car, and listing picture, making it not fit. So you are wondering because of how cheap it is and bei g a knock off, will it really work? Everything you own is broken and needs repair. You are pinching every penny you can. You are a do it yourself person... Well... It does really work well. It is very accurate. I've been waiting to review it to see if it would last. I've had it installed and working for more than 2 months now. The most important thing I think you can do is to find video instruction from experts more than the novice. Do your research. My biggest hurdle was the exact location of the pump itself. If you have a 32 gallon tank, crew cab, short bed, the pump is not directly under the bed. In my case I parked my truck under a chain hoist in my shop and lifted the bed completely off the truck. I also completely dropped the tank. It appears to be plastic and very light. (If it is empty) Maybe drive around a few days with a gas can in the back to run you tank as empty as possible. Mine was full... I used 2 floor jack and a couple of flat boards. It just takes time and patience if the tank is full. Not only is it heavy and awkward, it is also very difficult to install the new pump. The float will pop right off the pump if your not careful. The only other thing I should have done before removing the pump was to pressure wash the top of the tank before removing the pump. I tried using compressed air to clean the area first. I still had some debris enter the tank Just plan ahead and go very slow. If it's late at night, and you are tired or something goes wrong... Tomorrow is another day Ask for help Removing and replacing the bed is tricky. I did it by myself Be extremely careful with the plastic clips on the fuel hoses and wiring harness from the tail lights. I managed not to break anything All in all, for the price, it works better than I expected It's well worth the money and time if you are broke like me and cannot afford to take it to a shop for repair... Alot of hesitation when you first accelerate ... show more
