UPDATE: tried code #5531 & instead of Amazon home page working when pressing the "home" button, it will pop up when pressing the "exit" button just to the right of it. Still playing with it, tho. Not sure why the home button doesn't work, but hey, at least there is a button to bring it up AND the directional arrows work. Yay!! Lol Updated to 4 stars.... so glad I'm finally getting the remote to work, it is a nice one!! No Alexa voice command, but I hardly use that anyway. - - - - - - I just bought a Toshiba Fire TV and for whatever reason, the Toshiba remote has no numbers to input for local channels. So I've been looking for a backup remote to use for that, plus control streaming. This is my 3rd attempt at finding one and so far, I love the design/feel/looks of it this remote the best. Unfortunately, it only provides 1 code to enter for Toshiba Fire tv (6091). The channel buttons don't work and when you press the 'home' button, the Amazon screen comes on as normal but the arrows do not work to navigate. At this time, depending on what I'm watching (local vs streaming), since it's super easy to enter the codes, I alternate them (very easy to enter 4 digit code, so that is a plus 👍) I still have time to return it, but keep hoping I will hit on a sweet number that will work everything. I really like this remote and am trying to make it work.

I took off a star because I was not able to get this to work with my LG TV (model 55SJ8500-UB manufactured in 2017). I tried all the codes, the auto search and also additional codes I found online. I also tried searching YouTube, but nothing worked. It's probably a great remote for other TVs and maybe *some* LG TVs so I didn't want to give it just one star. I was able to easily program my Roku, Yamaha soundbar and Apple TV, just not the actual TV itself so it was useless to me because I couldn't even turn the TV on or off with this remote. I ended up returning it.

Easy to program and it is blue so you won't get it mixed up with your other remotes. Would be nicer if it lit up so you can find the right button in the dark.

It works with the TV, and the smart devices. I never have any problems with it missing the receiver on the TV or roku. Programing was a breeze and the coloring makes it easy to find when it's lost in the house. If this one disappears forever I'll be buying it again.

So since cutting the cord with Satellite TV, we have to use two remotes every time we want to power on the TV and turn the volume up and down. The TCL Roku TV would not connect with my Vizio sound bar and I have three of these things in my house. So I did some searching online and found these Philips Universal remotes that got really good reviews. I bought three. I just set up two of my TVs in under five minutes. It was so easy and now one remote works my volume and my TV controls for my Roku TV. Very happy customer so far.

I like the color. Easy to see the buttons. Ergonomic, not thick and chunky. Easier to hold (if you're older you understand). Smooth action on the buttons. I still haven't explored all the functions yet but it works great! There is writing on the buttons, wow (my old remote is 7 yrs. old)! My arthritic hands are getting a break. Reasonably priced. I'm happy. Phillips is a great brand. Part of the reason I bought it. .
