Philips, champ of automotive lighting. These were installed on my wife's 4runner and improved night driving.

    • BLUE COATING LIMITS HI BEAM PERFORMANCE AND BRIGHTNESS
These were installed on Hyundai with reflector housings. The bulbs are good and WOULD BE MUCH BRIGHTER and HAVE STRONGER BEAMS EXCEPT: The Blue Coating on the Bulbs diffuses the High Beams - so they have a slightly different color than the low beams but are weakened and diffused by the Blue Coating - Instead of 2000 or so lumens / the high beam output is around 1700 lumens . Worse - the INTENSITY of the high beams is slightly lower on these H4 Bulbs. There are OBSOLETE REGULATIONS ON HALOGEN BULBS LUMENS and CANDELA ( light intensity ) from the 1960s[!] ¿ ? WHICH STILL REGULATE HALOGEN HEADLIGHT BULBS . SO WE HAVE LEDs with 2000 LUMENS to 5000 LUMENS PER BULB ON MANY VEHICLES ( fine with me as long as they are adjusted properly ) - BUT HALOGEN BULBS ARE REGULATED FROM OBSOLETE 1960's RULES ? ¿ A shame to see a great design FLAWED by the BLUE COATING = This coating is thicker than I thought it would be and DIMINISHES OUTPUT AS MUCH AS 20 % TO 30% . ... show more

I drive right before sunrise and right after sunset in wilderness. These lights give me a wider and longer light to see animals crossing the road. Will definitely order again!

I've purchased twice, the bulbs are definitely brighter than stock. On both sets the lifespan seemed rather short. My vehicle doesn't have daytime headlight operation. The second set only lasted less than 3 months not a great value
