Let me begin by saying I like the speaker. The bass is good enough, almost right. The volume is not that loud but it doesn't claim to be a high wattage speaker, 80W max and 40W RMS. If you are looking for a loud party speaker then this is not it. You may need multiple of these speakers connected together or the higher wattage model. I cannot comment about the higher wattage model since I don't have it. The instructions are very sparse, mostly pictures. There are no tone (bass and treble) controls other than the dynamic bass (2 settings). It has three light modes and two dynamic bass modes. I did not hear any difference in the sound with the DBB on or off. I tried using a microphone with a 1/4 inch balanced (TRS) cable and it did not work. It may just mean that I should use the TS cable instead of the TRS cable. I will try with a unbalanced (TS) cable. So, I cannot comment on the quality of the karaoke performance. The battery lasts for a while. Overall, it is not a bad speaker for personal use. ... show more
