These were a perfect fit and easy to install on my '05 Subaru Outback 3.0 LL Bean Edition. If your headlights are burnt out or dim, this is a really quick and easy job that makes a huge difference. Not sure how long it had been, but one of my headlights was burnt out and so I replaced both, which is recommended. The light these put out is so much brighter and whiter than my last bulbs. I know these are only meant to match OEM quality (not an "upgrade" like brighter options or LED options on here), but they feel like an upgrade to me.     • Only lasted about 20 hrs of use over two months
I purchased these for the sole purpose to have longer lasting bulbs than the others since it is such a pain to replace them in a Miata, but was greatly disappointed to only get as little life. The driver's side Miata requires removing the wheel and inner fender (wheel well), a process that takes an hour on a good day. I have successfully and properly replaced headlight bulbs for over 30 years, using disposable gloves and carefully not touching the bulb glass, so this is not a case of bad installation practice. The last set of Mazda OEM bulbs lasted six years and 80k miles. I realize that I only have one data point to rate these bulbs, and maybe I got a rare unlucky bulb, but I will not try my luck again with these. ... show more

    • A perfect replacement on my VW TDI (for a lot less than the dealer wanted...)
I have a 2006 Jetta TDI which burned out a low beam bulb. Looking at the dealer's price list I decided that this was a LOT cheaper than $110 per bulb installed, and I did the installation in about 2 minutes. I'd suggest that you buy the 2-bulb set since they tend to darken with age and the OTHER original bulb was not as bright as the new replacement. Definitely recommended. ... show more

Installed in a 2015 GTI as the active sensor / side marker driving lights. Solved my problem with the warning indicator activating when the active light system engaging. Easy to install - based on my vehicle of course Fully functional - works as needed / expected

AMAZON garage tool is not accurate on this one. Although this bulbs are listed as fitting my Jetta Sportwagen, they do not fit. I have to remove the current bulb to find out that it was an Osram where the plug and bulb cannot be separated. So I found the Osram fixture on Amazon which incidentally does not trigger the garage tool. Lesson learned - always first check the actual part to be replaced in person. ... show more

Needed some quick headlight replacements after mine burnt out. Order these as they were the cheapest I could find from a trusted brand like Phillips. They are not the brightest lights as they are intended to be oem quality, but for the price they work and I can't complain! If your looking for HID kind of output, these obviously aren't the answer, but if you need some quick and cheap bulbs, definately pick these up! ... show more

    • Bulb lasted 7 months.
Bought the bulb in April of 2021, and it's dead as of December 3rd, 2021. That's not a long life for a headlight. The one saving grace is that they're a lot cheaper on here than at a parts store.

    • Works great as a Promaster replacement lamp.
Installed these in a Promaster van, after the OEM lamps burned out and after trying a Sylvania replacement lamp, which burned out within about 4 weeks.. (Headlamp early burn out is a very common Promaster problem). These Philips lamps have outlasted the Sylvania lamp by a few months already. Update: One of these lamps burned out after several months...way too short. I changed both out with the “Super Long Life” replacement bulb that Ram released to address the problem with the standard bulbs. ... show more
