It’s super soft! Love it! Just what I was looking for. I bought the emerald green color in the twin size and had no issues with it fitting a standard mattress. I don’t have a duvet insert yet so I just shoved my old comforter inside it and the size seems standard.

If you’re looking for a well made velveteen blanket, this fits. I was however looking for real velvet. The nap,fuzz or fiber on this is only about 1-2 mm while I’m looking for at least half an inch. That said , the color and the fabric looks and feels good. The ties are actually well made. I would have preferred a zipper than buttons because there’s a gap in between where the comforter insert shows. It’s comfy. I haven’t washed it yet because my kid decided to sleep in it. My room isn’t fully set up yet because I just moved, but I am SHOOKETH. This might be the BEST Amazon find I’ve found thus far. Full disclosure, I’ve only had it a couple days & I haven’t washed it multiple times or anything yet, so I have no idea how well the black velvet will maintain it’s color or softness. So there’s that. From other reviews, it seems washing it makes no difference. Regardless, I’m absolutely obsessed so far. My room is one step closer to becoming my goth queen dream. But it doesn’t stop at how amazing it looks….oh no. It is so stinkin’ soft, on both sides. One side is a buttery smooth, dark black crushed velvet & the other side is a (slightly) less dark microfiber type fabric. It pairs very nicely with the velvet, because it’s very soft but not as thick or hot feeling. Side note: The bad reviews with people angrily saying it is a scam because it’s too thin for a comforter, and that it’s false advertisement, made me chuckle. Critical thinking skills and reading context clues should truly be taught in school from a young age.…..yikes. With that said, I had to buy a duvet insert because I was not sure how I could (easily) have a regular comforter stay in place. So, all together, it ran me about $95. To me, that seemed like a lot for just a comforter and 2 pillow cases, so I was starting to have buyers remorse….especially with how difficult it was to situate (faulty duvet insert)…until I snuggled up for bedtime and then it all made sense. Even though I have a queen size bed, I went ahead & got the king size, because I’m a bit hedonistic, and it’s like swimming in an ocean of velvet everytime I get in my bed. Life changing. The ONLY downside that I encountered is the pillow cases being huge and considerably larger than my king size pillows, so I have to do that whole fold over/tuck thingy when I make the bed. And since the pillow cases are so big & do not zip up, the flaps on the inside (to keep the pillow from coming out) are irrelevant. Not a downside but, I found the buttons for the duvet cover to be kinda tricky to figure out at first, but it’s definitely worth doing it that specific way because it makes the bottom seamless. The ONLY thing they should consider changing is to add a zipper for both the duvet and pillowcases. It makes the taking off/putting on process A LOT easier and keeps all the contents A LOT more secure. But that’s not a deal breaker for me, and I would superglue this sucker together if I had to because it’s amazing. ... show more

It wasn't the color or size that I expected it to be. It was more of a lime green and although my bed is a king size and I ordered a California king, it was more of a Queen size, so it didn't even drape over the sides of the king size bed. I am sending it back and reordering in hopes that I will get an actual California king sized duvet this time. I actually did like the lime green, because I also purchased another duvet that was actually olive green So I'll just have them both, but I do need a california king size. if the one that is sent to me this second time is not a california king, I will be returning it again. I'm only giving it three stars right now.I will give it five stars when I receive the second one.If it is an actual california king size duvet. The top picture is what is advertise.D, but the bottom picture is what I actually got. My kids and dogs love it! I have another duvet cover that is similar that I ordered off Amazon, but is so hot to sleep in. This one is incredibly comfortable in both winter and summer. I loved this one so much that when I changed my bed size I ordered the next size. I now own two of them for no good reason. I get compliments on the color all the time. it is a very dark, dusty pink. Just a reminder, this is a cover for your duvet, not a duvet itself. Please don’t be one of those idiots who leaves a bad review because it’s not thick. It’s NOT a comforter, it is to cover one! First off I'll say I like the cover. I wish it had a zipper close instead of buttons but I can manage. It's very warm which is good because my room is cold. I've washed it a few times with only detergent and let it air dry and it washes great. I bought black to match my sheets I already own and it shows pet hair almost immediately. Which doesn't bother me. Personally it just makes me wash my sheets more often so I see it as a plus. But if the pet hair bothers you don't buy black. But when it's clean it looks nice and is very soft ... show more
