Disclaimer: I haven't used these yet. I'm going to be using them in a go kart project of sorts. These are my initial thoughts just based on looking and feeling the bearings in hand. If I notice any performance issues when I finally get to use them, I'll update this review. I bought these mainly for the price. I was a little apprehensive because of the video that shows you how to "align" the bearing if it's misaligned when you get it. I'm familiar with pillow block bearings, so I wasn't surprised to see that they may come misaligned, but the quality of the video made me wonder about the professionalism of the company. Luckily, all of those fears disappeared the moment I took one out of the box. The quality of the casting, machining, and finish on these bearings is top notch. I was expecting Harbor Freight quality but these are actually quite nice. The bearing itself turns smooth with no slop or crunchiness. I was particularly happy to see a zerk fitting on the pillow block. I'm going to be using these on a go kart that will be outside much of the time, so being able to relube the bearings is huge. The fit on my axle is very tight. All in all, I'm quite impressed. We'll see how they hold out once I start using them for their intended purpose. ... show more

The bearings are solid and seem to be made of quality material. I would have given them five stars except that one of them had a slightly smaller inner diameter and a different part number. This is probably a simple warehouse mixup. Luckily I only needed four of the six.

    • Great Pillow Blocks - with a couple minor issues
Size: 6 Style: UCP204-12
These are great pillow blocks, but 2 issues. 1. The 3/4" bore is tight. Neither a standard/cheap 3/4" steel tube or steel rod fit inside. A 3/4" aluminum tube did fit. The aluminum has tighter tolerance and is actually ROUND. 2. The pillow blocks are self-aligning, but all 6 were stuck and wouldn't move. I pumped them full of grease and 2 of them loosened up pretty easily. 2 others took a little more force. The last 2 took a lot of force. I actually bent an 18" aluminum tube, but eventually they both popped loose. After they popped loose, I moved them up & down and left & right and rubbed grease on all the surfaces. I spent 20 minutes on the tight ones moving them around and they still don't move easily enough to truly "self-align", but I was able to align them and they are working great. Just be aware you need to use a high quality tube or rod and you will have to "break" them loose and work them around to get them to align. ... show more

The bushing in my evaporative cooler were so worn it was metal on metal and the 3/4" shaft sheared off. I installed a new 3/4" shaft and these bearings. The holes in the cooler were slightly more narrow than these bearings but I was able to make it work without having to redrill. Use SS bolts and nuts to avoid rust. These pillow block bearing came pre-greased. The squirrel cage in the cooler now runs super smooth and quiet. The pillow block bearings have zerk fittings so now I can add grease via the zerk fittings in the Spring and I should be good for the season. ... show more

This thing is a brute. Real bearing not a sleeve or bushing. Way better than the original one I used. I had to add a brake to slow it down they spin the load so easy. Will use these on larger projects Video with brake off
