As someone who put 100s of hours of play into PGA 2k21, this is definitely a nice step forward. Playable pros like Tiger, Rahm, Zalatoris, JT, Collin, Xander, Fowler, Finau, and more, are a welcomed addition. Course list is similar, but expanded, adding the RBC Canadian Open, the Genesis Scottish Open, and the BMW Championship. Several official 2k fantasy courses, along with course designer being back, means there are practically an infinite amount of beautiful and fun courses to play. Graphics are improved, but still somewhat similar to the last game. Menus are upgraded and load times are vastly improved as well. As for gameplay, it's a bigger challenge this time around for sure, especially with the short game near the green, in the bunkers, and in the rough. It's now a meaningful penalty to miss fairways and greens, so it now makes sense to play strategically and consider the risk/reward of each shot instead of just bombing every drive and going right at every pin like in 2k21, making this game more realistic. Additionally, there's a wide variety of settings, including a new optional "three-click" swing like the old "Links LS" PC games from the 90s, in case you want to deviate from the swing stick. You can play as a male, female, lefty, or righty, or toggle various swings assists on/off. There are just so many ways to customize the difficulty and presentation that there's a fit for everyone, whether you're a brand-new player or a seasoned/skilled veteran. Top Golf mode has been added as well, which casual/newer players may gravitate towards. Of course, there's still a lot of room for improvement in the franchise and there are a few bugs that need to be ironed out in future patches, but this is a clear step forward and the pros far outweigh the cons. It's addicting, fun, and I would highly recommend this game for people of all ages who enjoy the great game of golf. It's absolutely worth upgrading from 2k21 if you enjoyed that game.

I havent been in the gaming scene for quite a few years but I snagged a ps5, by invite, from Sony, back in January. Also, I got the deluxe edition on launch day (oct 11th) for 89.99 cause 2K had a $10 off coupon for all their new sports games for early prime deals. This is my first golf game since pga tour 2015 and so far I really like it. The graphics are sub par for ps5 but the gameplay is fun and completely different from the golf games I'm used to. I cant speak to the changes from 2k21, however, I would definitely reccomend this to anyone who enjoys golf games!

I was really looking forward to this games release, what a big disappointment. The game is very pretty visually, but the game play is a step back to the PS2 era. So far none of the added courses are available in career mode. Months after receiving the game I still have not received all of my pre-order bonuses. Get this game if you enjoy disappointment.....

Hit up divot derby online for a zany “battle royale” type of quick online play, or relax and master awesome courses. The physics seem spot on and the controls are easy to learn but with a big jump in depth and mastery especially while putting. Highest difficulty and advanced control give an awesome experience. Along with being able to play as professional golfers and celebrities, I’m excited to play this game for many months to come. Well done!

This is nothing like 2k21. The swing method is incredibly poor and very unpredictable. Great courses but play time is very very slow. The announcer commentaries are a joke. They are long and has nothing to do with the course you are playing. They should have added the courses from 2k23 to 2k21 and called it quits. Very bad game.
