I just finished making a bias tape of blue jean material that using pins was just to laborist pinning. These made it so much easier. Also I'm posting a picture of the different clips I have here plus a pin for size comparison. The first larger clip is nice because it can be left on while you sew. I don’t sew or anything like that but every Christmas my wife hangs stars with LED lights that contain battery packs on our porch. The stars hang from long runs of fishing line in an X shape. Problem is every time it gets windy the stars all end up in the middle of the porch sides. The battery packs make them fairly heavy. I have tried paper clips and various tapes to keep them in place with no luck until mini wonder clips. Even with 30 mph gusts these clips held the stars in place. Maybe silly I know but it is nice to see a product that lives up to its name. ... show more

However, as they are made with polycarbonate instead of regular plastic and stainless steel, they can be expected to outlast the cheaper brands thereby justifying the higher price. Well got these clips as I had seem many people use them to help them make face masks in the times of covid. So I got some as I too am making masks. I will say they are quite sturdy and have a great grip. I got the mini’s which have a more narrow clipping end. Perfect for holding fabric together. I also like that there is a flat bottom part which makes it easier to keep fabric straight. I was actually using paper binder clips, which are a bit to wide, but in a pinch they worked fine. But these mini clips work even better. I also like that they have bright colors, easy to see and find if you drop them. The clips have a great grip and even have a small pimple/dot to have a spot that really grabs the fabric. I found this out when I was using the clips to hold down my paper pattern to the fabric and found a little tiny divot in the paper. I would recommend these clips to anyone that sews. I would also recommend this brand, well made and designed tools and sewing accessories. And they all seem to be Made In Japan not China. ... show more

They are kind of pricey for how many clips you get. This is my first time using clips. I just recently found out they even existed. I was making face masks for people during the pandemic and using pins woiuld make a hole in the thick cotton fabric that would make the mask unsafe. I think a lot of fabrics that could get ruined from pins. This is a great idea and works well. I would need to buy more for for a big sewing project and may not work so well when useing them when cutting the fabric from a pattern for what I was doing it was just what I needed. ... show more

Love these mini clips by Clover. I have two other sizes (regular and large), but find myself reaching for these small clips on a frequent basis. The narrowness of the clip means it doesn't get in the way of the presser foot. They hold just as well as the regular sized clips but are easier to use. Okay... I did not know about these clips until I started sewing masks. These little numbers are Well Made, Sturdy, and Reliable! Mini Wonder Clips made me very happy. They Work!! I spent the extra money on the "Wonder Clips Brand" because of other reviews. (I could tell that these small clips could end up with problems-from the spring to the grip strength, and so on.)     • Great for prepping lightweight leather seams for sewing.

A friend at work let me borrow hers and I knew what the next addition to my sewing kit needed to be. They're sooo helpful for holding seams together on thin (garment-weight) leather while I'm machine sewing. I knew about the larger size clips (I'm a fan of those too), but these mini clips allow for more fine-tuning of the seams, and I'm able to get the piece closer to the presser-foot on my machine before I have to remove the clip. There's no worrying about the nightmare of leather tape accidentally being in the wrong place and getting stuck on the sewing machine needle, if I can avoid using leather tape in the first place!
