This was surprisingly easy to put together by myself in about an hour. The instructions were clear and the parts and hardware meticulously labeled. I can't speak to the durability yet as it's only been one day, but it appears like it will hold up pretty well. The only negative is that it's not insulated and we have really harsh winters here. Temps are still around freezing at night and we get a decent amount of snow so hopefully the kitties will find it warm enough. I've purchased 2 of these houses for my outdoor cat community. The cats seem to enjoy them, and we have visitors in the houses every night. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase but a few things to note. Pros: - Cats love it! We just had a huge rain storm last night and they stayed inside the house the entire time, so it must've been dry and warm enough for them. - At least 3 cats can fit inside - Solid wood construction - Hinge top makes it easy to clean & organize Cons: - One of the boards got damaged in shipping so they are a bit fragile. My husband stapled the board together so we didn't have to return, as it seemed to much of a hassle. - One of the screws broke and we had to replace with a sturdier one. - Flower box does not hold much weight. We had a water jug in the box but it weighed it down too much and broke a piece of the siding off so we had to fix it again. - Seems rain and wind proof, but we added insulation for warmth. All that to say, for roughly $100, I think it's been worth it. We spend some time maintaining them but they are a good base to build from. It gives me peace of mind knowing the cats have shelter through the cold months. ... show more

It’s very cute and sturdy, and a good value (I found this house by other sellers for WAY more money). The feral cats in our neighborhood seem to like it, too. I love that it’s really easy to get into with the big doors, to refill food and water.

My cat and I love his new cathouse. It was super easy to put together. The only difficulty was figuring out how to put on the lever for the roof. I was very impressed with the quality and size. I expect Star will be spending many a summer night on the roof. This item is highly recommended.

Liked this cat house but realized that the roof overhang on the back is not long enough and the rain drips off the roof and goes into the access doors. (See indication on photo) Found my cats food and blanket wet this morning after a night of rain. Very disappointed. The media could not be loaded. I have a neighbors cat that I started feeding about 5 years ago and it stays close by as she greets me every morning and night. All of thier other cats come over when the weather is nicer. Not sure if the neighbor feeds them or they like my cat food better. This has become an expensive deal for me over the years. The neighbor is a self proclaimed animal rescue and takes in strays that seem to make it to my place. Dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and horses. I feel the trade off on the cats is maybe they keep the rodent population down. So on to the review. I pretty much explained everything verbally on the video. The instructions were the best I have ever seen with everything marked. It was kinda fun putting it together. I'm keeping mine on the porch with a roof over it to protect it even though it has shingles. I believe it will last a long time that way. I used a cordless drill lowest setting on some of the screws. Just be sure to not run the screws all the way in. Use a hand screwdriver to set them and do not over tighten or the soft wood will possibly break. I believe it is a very nice purchase and am really satisfied with the quality. ... show more

Super cute, once together feels sturdy but the wood is a little thin. Parts of the wood cracked/split when putting the crews in. Cats aren’t too sure about it yet though.

Took my husband an hour to put the house together. Pieces of it together well. Not airtight and perfect but good. Love the brackets the open the roof in two different ways. House is not very big. We are using fr one cat. Trying to make a space that safer just for him so that our other cat stops bullying him. Be aware of the size if you are planing on using for more than one cat. We keep the automatic cat feeder on the second level. There could be improvements, like having a shelf at the top that the cat could recline on like it’s on its own personal lanai. The small steps are too small for for our boy to recline like the tiger he is in spirit. M. My husband said he wished that the instructions had more clear diagrams of the finished product because that would’ve facilitated his assembly. But as is, he got the entire thing put together in about an hour, so it didn’t really impede the goal. He looked at the Amazon sites photos to get that information instead. Not cheap but a very fair price compared to other cat houses I looks at. ... show more
