These pet gloves are great! I can't say they are bite proof, because my puppy hasn't bitten me when wearing them yet. (it's only a matter of time...he has bitten me before) I did use these when giving him a bath....twice....he wasn't spooked by me wearing them and rather enjoyed being lathered up with them. They have raised areas on the inside of the glove where your fingers go that gives your pet a kind of massage...he liked that. They are comfortable to wear...not stiff...and are very easy to put on and take off. I could easily hold onto him when I needed to. They also kept my hands and arms dry while bathing him too. My Teddy is only 20 pounds and I was fairly confident that if he did bite me, his sharp teeth wouldn't have penitrated the thick material. I would not trust these to protect you from the bite of a larger dog thou. I also used these when trimming some of my cats claws with great success....you know the ones who fight you because they hate having their claws trimmed....the ones that kick and bite and fight to get away...I was able to hold onto them firmly even while they were squirming to get away, without being scratched or their bites going throu these gloves. These gloves not only protected my hands, but also my arms up to my elbows. Mom's new secret weapon....some of my cats were very upset with me!

These Gloves Saved Me

I inherited a seriously disturbed (large) Pomeranian (biter) from an out-of-control rescue. Before even trying to bathe her I got all her medical issues & teeth taken care of and gave her a month to settle in but she was still unpredictably growling and biting. I got these gloves to use for bathing and grooming her and boy they are perfect. She tried her best to bite me (many times) and the gloves saved me from a trip to the ER. I could feel the pressure of the bite but the fabric held up. My hands came out without a scratch.

Saved my arms and hands

After having two kittens and an adult cat shred my arms, including leaving a full adult claw embedded in the palm of my hand, I got these. Tonight, we had to do a flea bath again on all three and it was fantastic. They were long enough that even when the adult cat freaked out and tried to climb my arm, she only caught the top of the glove sleeve. The gloves resisted her claws and the kittens as well. None of them bite, so I cannot speak to that. However, when it comes to their claws, it was great. As for fit, I got these large size and they were just right. Any smaller and they’d have been uncomfortable. The design on the palms helped both with grip and with both soaping up and rinsing out the cats. The gloves were well worth the purchase price in the very first use. They came within a day and I would definitely recommend them.

Great gloves for puppy bites, but.....

I love these gloves because they protect me when my 14 week old puppy is biting. However, she seems to become more aggressive when I wear them to brush her. She bites the gloves and the brush making our brushing time difficult. For this reason 4 stars.

Perfect choice for Sharp nails

I’m so glad that I got these. My cat has the sharpest nails and she hates having her nails cut. I can’t imagine doing that without these powerful finger protectors. They are flexible enough to be gentle with your cat and cut their nails at the same time. They look just like they are on the picture. The material is solid. And I got these for a good price so I do recommend them.

Worked for Handling a Smaller Adult Cat

I own a smaller female cat. She despises being handled. I bought these gloves because I wanted to try grooming her at home and, most importantly, trimming her vicious dagger nails. I’m happy to report that these gloves did protect me from both her swats and bites. I’m an adult male with average size hands and the gloves were snug, but ultimately fit. I did find that my ability to manipulate small objects was diminished while wearing them, but this was expected. The gloves seem to be a reasonable size. They fit well enough, and they seem to work well at protecting against scratches and bites. Of course, the pressure from a bite can still be painful, but the gloves protected the skin. Unfortunately, no amount of glove wearing will stop a cat from squirming and wriggling away, so I ended up taking my cat to a professional groomer. At the lower price point these gloves are definitely worth trying if you need to handle a cat with a short temper.

Help keep your fingers and arms covered

It's definitely not waterproof. It works fairly well, but in some areas, the kitten can bite through. I wouldn't recommend using it with an adult cat. It's nice that it covers your arms and allows you to feel the kitten a little. It's not bad, but it's better than nothing.

Helpful Protection for Grooming and Handling Nervous Pets

The PetFusion Multipurpose Pet Glove is a useful tool for grooming, vet visits, and handling pets that may become nervous or defensive. The glove provides added protection from scratches and minor bites while still allowing enough flexibility to hold and guide a pet safely. It feels sturdy and well-made, and the longer design helps protect more of the hand and forearm. I especially appreciate having it available for stressful situations such as trimming nails, administering medication, or placing a reluctant cat into a carrier as I handle a colony of feral cats. I have only had one hard bite that pierced the mesh on the back of the glove while handling a stressed feral cat. The glove is somewhat bulky, so it may take a little time to get used to, but the extra protection is worth it. Overall, this is a practical product for pet owners who need more confidence when handling anxious or difficult animals, as they have saved my forearms and hands from painful bites and scratches.
