  • Great bag
Is absolutely amazing. He fits right in there and he goes right along with us everywhere. Just carry them around like a backpack.

  • Sturdy and well made
I ordered this for my 5-pound chihuahua. She does not like it. I think she is just too old and set in her ways. She’s not normally cooperative about new ideas anyway. It’s a perfectly good pack, sturdy and well made with ventilation, but you never know about a pet whether they will turn their nose up or not. I will definitely keep it on hand and start out any new puppies early so they can get used to the backpack. ... show more

  • Perfect carrier for my 7 pound Pomeranian. It's tall enough so she can sit up straight.
BOTTOM LINE: 1. I recommend this PETEPELA pet carrier. 2. The current price of ~$20 is very reasonable. LIKES: - Fits my dog quite well. - Perfect alternative to me carrying her in my arms. - I feel safer having her in this carrier when outside with other dogs around. - Well made. DISLIKES: - None.

  • Surprisingly My Cat Loves Riding in This
I don't know why, but my cat absolutely loves being carried around in this back pack. When I first ordered this I put my then kitten inside and of course she easily fit. So I decided to give it a little bit of time to see what happened when she got a bit bigger. She still has plenty of room in there. There are zippers on the sides where you can gain access to the cat while they are traveling inside. The framer of this makes a sturdy square that holds its shape well. The bottom has some hard plastic square feet to it which is nice but there is nothing in the bottom to square this off. So when your pet is inside they are in a bit of a squishy bottomed contraption. My young cat doesn't seem to mind as she's just as happy upside down as she is sitting pretty. An older cat might not be as comfortable in this and I don't know if I'd use it for transport home from the vet after surgery (we have a spaying appointment soon and I'll have to use a harder carrier). I do have an older cat but she has too many claws to test her out with. I've never done air travel with a pet before, but I think this would work great for that. As for my little kitten she has been enjoying walks outside while safely stowed inside her backpack. A good way for an indoor cat to get to see a bit of nature. This is sewn super well, high quality materials and well worth the price. The only thing that could bring this down in usefulness would be a pet that doesn't want to be riding up high and behind you. ... show more

  • My 19 pound cat was content and cozy in this carrier!
I needed a new carrier to bring my cat to vet visits. I prefer this soft sided one since my cat hated getting in the hard plastic carrier. My cat is pretty big, 19 pounds, and he fit well in this carrier and seemed pretty content and cozy even when I carried him around in it as a backpack. This is a very versatile bag, which is easily carried with one hand from the top handle or as a backpack. I love that there are several windows for him to look out and get some air and pats through. Great product and so glad I got it! ... show more

  • Great for a small to medium sized cat
This is a nice carrier. It is vertical, allowing the cat to sit up and look around, and making it much easier to carry than a traditional cat carrier. The small zipper on the side makes it easy to slip a cat in then zip it behind them. There's a lead inside to clip to a collar, which might work for a dog, but I think a cat would get tangled up in it. However, it does give the cat something to play with while in the carrier. The only caveat is if you have a large cat, this carrier might be a little tight. See picture of our large chonky cat beside the carrier. ... show more

  • A well built small animal carrier
I got this carrier for my cat. At 10 lbs, she can sit inside with room to spare. The carrier is well constructed of a nylon/polyester material. There is a leash hook on the inside to secure the animal and prevent escape when opening the carrier up. There are mesh windows on the front and both sides to provide plenty of air flow. The carrier has a nice large pocket on the front for storage. There is also a smaller pocket on each side. Two adjustable straps on the back have padding for comfortable carrying. ... show more

  • Really nice carrier with one flaw for 10+ lbs
I LOVE this backpack cat carrier. I wanted to give it 5 stars but just couldn't. There is ONLY one thing I have a problem with, shown in my 3rd photo that is hard to understand without an explanation. The photo is of the bottom of the backpack when one of my cats is inside and the bag is being held by the handle. There is no floor support, so it sags. Not a terrible thing but it can be. Carried that way, either by handle or as a backpack, that sag is going to be very uncomfortable for the cat and may even cause some structural damage to the pack with all the weight being centered in one spot rather than though out a floor or pack frame. Adding even a thin wooden or firm plastic floor or frame would help this, I think. For that I took off one star, because I don't believe the carrier would stand up to daily long term use where the weight/sag is concerned. We have hard sided carriers, but we believe in being prepared for emergencies: 2 is 1, 1 is none. I have 2 full grown male cats, so I want 4 carriers. (We DID have 3 hard sided carriers but donated one to a woman who takes in and nurses sick ferals - she's an absolute ANGEL, but back to the carriers). Two hard sided carriers, and I wanted 2 back pack carriers. I wanted the back pack style since the boys' last check up. Carrying a hard sided case in each hand while trying to feed the meter, cross the street and open the door is a bit much. I considered taking a folding wagon, but there is a curb, no easy way to manage the wagon. I realized a backpack would be perfect, and I was really looking for a backpack that would carry both boys comfortably but those don't exist - yet. As I was thinking about the carriers, I also considered what we'd do if we had to leave home - earth quake, wildfire - heck even a small fire, or any other natural disaster. Carrying 2 hard sided carriers isn't practical. My boys both wear a harness and get leash walked (and yes, I have an extra for each), but they think of that as play time, not walk time, so in a situation where we have to leave home or be on foot a while, I wanted a back pack. The carrier is very well built. I had reservations when I ordered whether Gray, the gray and white 10.1 lb boy in the 8th and 9th photos, would claw through it. He does not like being contained. He bites the wires of his metal carrier and rolls on his back clawing at the top when he's inside. He even reaches out to try to open it. The mesh isn't wire, but it's not some flimsy material either. Now, we haven't gone for a walk or drive in it yet, but it seems strong enough that I'd notice before there was enough damage for an escape. In the 4th and 5th pictures, I show a closeup of the mesh with Grace, the all gray 12.5 lb boy inside. Ya, he needs to lose weight, I know. No more free choice food, and treats are greatly reduced - but they're only 2 calories each and they so love finding them when I hide them. Oh, and we had Gray 1st so even though it makes more sense for Grace to be named Gray, we weren't planning a 2nd cat. AND we named him Grace because we were told he was a she. Imagine our surprise when the vet said they couldn't spay Grace - I thought she was pregnant! But nah, they spay girls, they neutered him, coz he's a boy. They respond to their names, so no name changes here. Anyway, that mesh seems strong. In the 6th picture, I show the cat back pack beside my hard sided carrier, they're very comparable in size. The 1st and 2nd pictures show Grace climbing into the carrier when I laid it flat and unzipped it. It lays open just like a suitcase or a box, and both Grace and Gray LOVE playing in boxes. I had originally tried to get Gray into the carrier with the large side open, but he hates carriers, so I wasn't forcing him, Grace went right in. After I let Grace out through the 'window', I tried to get Gray to go in, but no. Well, I threw his treats in (picture 7) and he went in (8 and 9). I did not push him in or zip him up, a cat with anxiety needs to be introduced VERY slowly to new things. So I left all the carriers down with treats (pic 10 is Gray in the hard sided carrier, why waste a good cat tail picture?) I'm such a cat geek, sorry. The carrier also has a small leash inside that is attached to the carrier that can be clipped to the harness or collar of your furbaby. While I might do this for a dog or a very docile cat, I think the inability to move freely in an already cramped space could be traumatizing to a cat. I would not use it for my boys, especially Gray. Of course, if I were opening the windows, I'd definitely use the attached leash, but I won't be using them while we're moving. All in all, it's a great carrier, for brief walking to and from a vehicle, for brief containment, and worth every penny of the $30 price tag. I wouldn't choose this for a flight or long walk or hike, but ONLY because of that lack of 'floor' support. ... show more
