Low heat output, but that is probably for the best with direct contact with a pet. It will take me a while to dial in the settings and figure out what my dog likes. I hooked up my power meter to the heating pad and it drew between 5 and 55 watts. The problem is when set to power 1, the meter showed 28 watts. Power level 2 dropped it down to 2 watts. Power Level == Watts 1 == 28 Watt 2 == 2 watts 3 == 5 watts 4 == 9 watts 5 == 14 watts 6 == 20 watts 7 == 31 watts 8 == 42 watts 9 == 54 watts

This replaced a pet heating pad I had for 2 years that worked great. This might as well not have an electric cord! It has 9 heating levels and on level 9 it is barely lukewarm. It came folded in quarters in a zip lock type bag. I'm thinking it was a return because the bag was torn open on one end and taped closed with clear packing tape!

I'm going to get right to this, haha What I like about this heating pad: •The Material. It's waterproof, well made where it won't get scratched up, easily wipes clean, hair doesn't stick to/in it, and cute print 🐾 •The secure plastic cover where the cord goes inside of the pad • Timer (normal, 2hr,4hr,8hr, and 12 hour) What I don't like: •At the highest setting (9) it's luke warm I understand wanting to control the temp so it's safe for pets, that being said, if you buying a heating pad it's to heat.... I expect the highest level to be much warmer than it gets. •The Cord It's advertised for pets and to be chew proof via the cord. That being said why would you make the covering movable and not even cover the full cord-especially the part connected to the pad itself? They did such a good job securing it into the pad with a thick plastic covering and screwing it in, then threw it out the window when the plastic covering of the cord didn't even fully secure to it, exposing the cord itself. See pictures . The black covering isn't very strong either and I can bend it with merely my two fingers. Overall it's not horrible, just add some warmth if level is at 9, easy to clean, waterproof. For my dogs though, it's not going to work, this would however work for my cat. Merry Christmas to my cat 😹🎄

There’s a lot to like about this heating pad. It warms up within moments of turning it on, although it takes a few minutes to reach the highest temperature setting (9). Not a problem. I put it on the corner of the bed under the bed spread and it is very toasty warm to the touch. Having it in the highest setting makes my cat move off of it. I slip a pillowcase over the pad to make it more comfortable and sanitary. The only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is that mine doesn’t stay on continuously. By that, I mean if I set it for 12 hours it will stay on for 12 hours, but if I want it to stay on until I turn it off, somewhere down the line it shouts itself off. I haven’t pinpointed that exact time though.
