  • Smooth, comfortable ride!
So, let me start by saying that we never thought we would be a dog stroller family, but here we are! We began with the Special Edition for our senior baby Shih Tzu who we just lost over the Christmas holidays. While she was still with us, she loved it! She was going blind and was frightened to go walking in the park as she couldn't see what was approaching her. Additionally, we moved to Florida from Chicagoland, and the temp change makes it harder for ANY fur baby to walk far without getting heat exhaustion. After our baby was gone, we decided to adopt two new baby Shih Tzu that are now almost 6 months. We decided to teach them right away to ride in the stroller as we live in a condo and have to walk through a VERY hot parking lot to get to the grass. They loved it and destroyed it! Took them about 4 months but their combined weight and chewing and clawing was just too much for it. IT lasted 2 years and 3 dogs. Pretty good considering it was really only meant for 1 dog; hence the reason we wanted to stick with the PetGear company. So, now we have purchased the Jogger. First of all, let me start by saying that "assembly" is merely snapping on the tires, adding air, and rolling away! That easy. This stroller IS heavier but it is also larger and sturdier, and the babies can sit side by side while riding. The quality is apparent. The ride is super smooth. Jogging is a breeze and one-handed turning is perfect. This is important with two babies as one is sometimes walking while the other is riding. Also perfect in a building with an elevator. There is only one tether, but we don't use it anyway. We prefer to snap down the enclosure if we are worried about them jumping and we never lose hold of their leads. The stroller folds easily and sets up easily. It is important to remember to undo the Velcro and unsnap the clasp under the front seat before folding or this will apply too much pressure to the seat base and eventually rip/crack it (have seen it happen). It IS heavy (I repeat), but I am 5'2" and about 118 pounds and not a weight lifter of any sort and I can lift it into my KIA Sportage hatch. Fits fine without folding the seats down. I will say that one of the rear wheels arrived dented, making inflation difficult, but I contacted Customer Service at PetGear right away and they shipped one out promptly. Great service! We have been rolling around everywhere and have taken it to one of the state parks and it went well. We did add the matching bolster cushion which we weren't sure about with the heat, but they love it so we are keeping it! In addition, we use a chill pad that is body weight activated and our little boy baby loves that as he has such a thick coat. We totally recommend this stroller and expect to get at least two years use out of it! We will update our review after some time has passed to let everyone know how it is holding up. ***UPDATE 4/11/2017 (NATIONAL PET DAY :) )*** Just popping in to say that we are still loving this fine product. The puppies love the heck out of it. We use it nightly for their late night walk as it is quite dark and they get nervous about all of the wildlife (we live in a condo therefore walks are standard); they ask to go in it every night. The larger of the two spent so much time in the lower basket that between his increasing weight and his sister trying to chew/claw him out of it, they destroyed it. Thankfully they moved past the chewing stage (also he has grown too big to ride down there), and we were able to purchase a replacement basket from Petgear. As always, the Customer Service was spot on and got it here promptly. Many, many people have asked us about this pet stroller, and many have gone on to purchase one themselves. Our puppies are now full grown; the little girl is around 8 lbs and our little man is always around 14 lbs. They both are compact and have shorter legs. They fit comfortably in this stroller and we added a second chill pad (The Green Pet Self-Cooling Pet Pad) and lay them together to cover the pad when it is hotter out. Great for walks as it does get hot in the Sunshine State. One thing I have noticed; I really do use the snap closure when we are walking them around a crowd. People are just drawn to their teddy bear-like looks and want to touch them, which in turn gets them all excited and possibly try to jump out. The lock insures that no puppy will escape and hurt themselves (or others). ... show more

  • So good I bought two!
Color: NEW Forest Green
This stroller is the best I’ve seen. I use it every day for long walks with my 15.5 year old Pug, Gladys. This is a great solution for anyone who loves to walk briskly and spend time with your dog at the same time. I’ve seen parents with babies in jogging strollers and thought, why not? It’s a very good quality stroller. It is priced higher than most but it’s very well made and of good quality materials. If I was a runner this would absolutely be sturdy enough to endure long runs. The tires are small bicycle type tires. It folds easily. The zipper-less canopy is great. Years ago I had a different stroller with a zipper closure and it broke. This one snaps closed. I looked at many different models online and the features I was looking for were, 1) something that looked like a stroller, not a cage on wheels. 2) large inflated bicycle wheels, and a single one in the front. 3) lots of mesh/screen so she could see all around her. Some strollers had a small window for the dogs to see out of. This one has mesh on the sides as well as the front and the canopy. She likes to lay down and watch the world go by to her left, right and straight ahead. I have a vacation home and I was dragging this along to and from so I decided to invest in a second and I’m glad I did. I’ve used it on hikes in the woods and on beaches. The large tires allow you to go anywhere. It maneuvers smoothly. Assembly was a breeze and the tires came fully inflated. I can tell she loves this stroller. Every time I bring it out she walks right over to it and stands there waiting for me to put her in. It’s a win/win situation for us. I get the exercise and she gets the fresh air and stimulation. The best part is that we do this together. Her veterinarian was thrilled with the idea. Elderly dogs still love to be outside! ... show more

  • Awesome stroller! Worth the price!
Color: NEW Forest Green
I bought a less expensive one first..but returned it because it was not sturdy and cheaply made. This stroller is awesome, I have used it almost every day since it was delivered. My dog loves it too! Rides so smoothly and the snap to close top makes it so easy and safe to use. No pesky zippers to deal with. I was skeptical about the price at first but now I see it was worth it! Great product! I can tell it's going to last a long time!! ... show more

  • Great in so many ways but ...........
Color: NEW Forest Green
Pros 1. The height is great! It is taller than other strollers so I don't get a backache hunching over like I did with a previous carriage. 2. The gel tires give it a nice smooth ride over sidewalks, asphalt and trails and the front wheel moves from side to side as needed to get over tricky spots 3. The Cover covers easily and snaps into place. No zippers. It is also see through for the pet. 4. There is a tether inside, but it is a basic, simple one 5. My dog loves it! I put an extra blanket inside so my dog has a very comfy ride and even falls asleep in it at times during our walks. Cons: 1. I have trouble folding it up. Unless I am doing it wrong. I need both hands to secure each side to pull up on the levers to fold it. It is also heavy for me to pick up and put in the trunk. That's probably why the carriage is so sturdy 2. I've had the carriage for 1 year now. I use it every day to walk about 3 miles. Lately, I'm finding the frame to be wobbly. I've checked all the visible screws etc but they don't seem to need tightening so I have written to the company for suggestions on what might be causing the wobbling. I don't want to be out walking a long distance and have the carriage collapse on me. Summary: The carriage has worked out great for me in most aspects and has seemed solid and easy to maneuver and use. My dog loves it and I love the height of it and the quality of it. I'm just wary of what might be causing it to be a bit wobbly now after a year's use. Also, it is somewhat difficult for me to fold up and lift it into my trunk. Luckily, I use it mainly for long neighborhood walks so don't have to fold and lift it every day. ... show more
