I really liked these sheets the first time I bought them. They were a very high quality heavy cotton percale fabric and they lasted over 250 washes before I decided to replace them. I bought the same size of what I thought was the same product. The new sheets are a noticeably lighter in weight and a thinner fabric. I'm disappointed that I chose to pay top dollar and reward a merchant that has served me well in the past with a repeat order, only to receive a lesser quality product. Shrinkflation? Although on the expensive side, these are very nice quality, soft percale (not noisy or stiff like many percales). So far they have washed well. Percale sheets are always a bit wrinkled out of the laundry but not as bad as some of my other percale sets. Would repurchase.

I bought these sheets because my hubby hates sateen sheets, saying they slip off the bed. He’s not wrong. So I looked for cotton percale and found these Peruvian Pima cotton sheets. I would not buy these again. Reasons: 1) They are definitely not wrinkle free. When washed and tumble dried low, they came out incredibly wrinkled. This is the first sheets set I have actually considered ironing. Yuck. I put them on the bed as-is, out of laziness…see item 2. 2) The fabric seemed smooth and soft on opening the package. However, after washing the fabric is quite scratchy. This may be partially due to to the wrinkles? But is at least somewhat the fault of the fabric. I was hoping for soft fabric like the good quality Pima cotton shirts and t-shirts I have. No such luck. These are not truly crisp, like I would expect for percale, either. Hopefully more wash cycles will improve them. EDIT: The scratchiness does seem to be at least partially due to the wrinkles. As the sheets relax, and the wrinkles come out, the fabric does seem less scratchy and somewhat softer overall. That at least is good news! 3) The “sky blue” color is quite bold and almost bright medium blue with a slight touch of teal. I was hoping for a calmer, lighter blue color for the bedroom. I would not call these “Sky blue”. The color is rather jolting.

I am super impressed with these sheets. I came across this particular sheet set because I think clothes made out of Pima Cotton are the best in the world, so I gravitated towards finding bed sheets made from this cotton for the first time. Also, I (whether I am right or wrong) did research that mainly pointed to the fact that any sheets that are pushing a 1000 thread count thread are grifting. Basically, the thread count of the sheets around 400 is where you want to be, but if you want to go higher, 800 is max. A count higher than this is where quality seems to decline because it’s not realistic for well spun bedding. So I trusted what I researched and ordered these sheets. They are amazing. You can feel the high quality and keep a hot sleeper like me cool at night or warm if you’re not. You can also tell they will last a long time too. I will be buying these sheets from now on. They come in a well packed and thoughtful manner upon arrival where you can tell this company cares about their product. There is only one suggestion I have for the vendor if they are listening (and it’s a really tiny one). A simple tag sewed into the interior fitted mattress sheet that said “this is the top end” and / or “this is the bottom end”, it would be a chef’s kiss. Hope this review helps!

Dang. I thought when I first put these on the bed, that I'd found THE perfect sheets: crisp, cool, smooth, breathable, and a nice weight but not too heavy. I ordered the king set in latte. And they WERE perfect, right outta the box. Both my husband and I get hot even in winter, so prefer cotton bedding vs synthetics and blends. I was so excited to try these, that I put them on the bed right outta the box (came very nicely packaged). Loved them and we both thought they were the most comfy sheets we'd ever had. However, post-laundering was a different story. Instructions say wash cool and gentle, then dry on delicate/lowest setting. Did that and more: laundered the set by themselves to eliminate crowding. All of this should reduce most shrinkage and wrinkles. Unfortunately, everything came out badly wrinkled - even after returning each sheet individually to the dryer on low setting with a soaking wet towel to steam out the wrinkles (works like a charm for EVERYTHING else). Nope. Also, both top and bottom sheets had shrunk. A lot. The en-smallened bottom sheet still fits my mattress, as the set came out of the package sized to easily accommodate deeper mattresses and/or toppers and I have neither of these -- but folks who do have them, may be disappointed after laundering. I'm a reasonable person and a small bit of shrinkage and wrinkles is something I can live with, but c'mon - for the price I just plain expect better, especially when I still have cheaper sheets I bought years ago from discount stores that never had these issues. And I have neither time nor inclination to iron my bedding, even if wrinkles were the only problem. Heck, I don't even iron clothes, anymore! I wish the Peru Pima sheets had lived up to their initial promise, because I would've bought another set in a heartbeat. EDIT 11/2022: Okay - to be fair, I had to up these from 3 to four stars. The sheets are going strong -- smooth, cool percale which I love. They've mellowed over the years and with repeated laundering, and have become favorites. I don't bother with heroics in washing - just shove 'em into the ol' top loader on warm or hot. I do avoid a lot of wrinkling by drying them on lower heat without a lot of other items crowding the barrel, then pull out and fold just as soon as they're dry. The main reason these aren't five stars for me, is due to that initial and major shrinkage of the top sheet. It will always hang too short on the sides of our mattress. But hey - I call that a first world problem because they always feel great to slip into on a warm summer night.
