When it comes to regular laundry, we've been pretty dedicated Tide users, only straying a few times but feeling dissatisfied. Just to note: I use WIN for our athletic clothing. Anyway, we decided to give this a shot when the Tide we prefer was either unavailable or astronomical in price. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. Not only is this less expensive than Tide but it cleaned just as well and has a smell that is so much fresher. I do have to do a side note here when it came to delivery. I apparently was lucky as this was packaged very well and there was no leakage at all. The only thing I don't like is a common complaint I have with most laundry detergents. We have a new machine that requires liquid instead of pods, so of course, you have to measure it out. It would be great if companies could determine how to make the lines a different color so it was more noticeable on the cap. This one is very hard to see. Aside from that, I'm VERY satisfied with my purchase, which is not good news for Tide because I think we are switching. ... show more

    • A detergent which lives up to its goals
If you are looking for a strongly perfumed laundry detergent, this is not it. You would probably need to use a highly scented softening additive to accomplish this is scented laundry is your goal! If you want a detergent which does an excellent job of cleaning your laundry, without using a major amount of liquid detergent to accomplish it, and definitely without any risk of oversudsing and flooding the washing machine and laundry room with the assistance of an overhelpful, if more enthusiastic than experienced, grandchild, this is definitely worth the extra cost per bottle. At most, I have needed to use a peroxide wash additive to deal with the worst of greasy dirt and stains. For those of us who have to be concerned with hay fever-like reactions to over-perfumed products, I have not had an incident of clogged sinuses, nor have I experienced a skin rash reaction, since I've started using Persil [as a fair skinned Scandinavian, even laundry dried with fabric softener dryer sheets will cause itching, highly noticeable, contact skin reactions]. Since my first purchase of Persil during a sale, I have not purchased nor used another laundry detergent, nor do I have any plans to switch to another unless the manufacturer makes a significant change to the formula [even a major price increase would probably not dissuade me - an issue anyone on the subsistence level fixed income of Social Security has to consider!]. My only strong advice is to follow the manufacturer's directions on the amount of detergent to use, sticking to the measuring cap fill amounts for your individual washing machine, size of the load, and degree of soiling - you'll be happy with both the results and the comparative costs. ... show more

I tried Persil as a replacement to my normal detergent (arm and hammer), as I noticed it wasn’t getting the job done getting sweat stains and smell out of my children’s and my clothes. This detergent definitely gets the job done and exceeded my expectations. My clothes always come out bright and vibrant and smelling fresh no matter what, especially our athletic wear. I love this scent and the last time I ordered shipping was great. This time around I had 1 thing of detergent’s cap not all the way on so some leaked everywhere. The second thing of laundry detergent’s cap was broken and the box was all indented.

I've done a few loads of laundry now with Persil. I'm impressed. I had some white towels with some light stains that had been laundered repeatedly without the stain being removed. In one load, Persil had them looking like new. Colors are brighter for every garment. The scent is clean and fresh. Persia has many rave reviews and a cult following in the cleaning community. I can use it to get stains out of super stubborn items that oxiclean won't even touch. The size of this is nice, as it will last a while. However, I am more likely to use this to spot treat stains, as the smell is overpowering for me. I've heard many people say how they love the fresh clean scent, but for me it smells to strong and artificial). I love this stuff! I wash all my clothes in it. Great for workout clothes and football gear because the fresh scent breaks through and it cleans well. The amount you get lasts for a long time too. I buy it three times a year...that's it. And believe me I was a shit tom of clothes EVERY weekend.
