I really wish the 33 waist was still available. I usually wear a 32, and at the waist, these fit me fine. They are oddly tight around the hips though, with no extra fabric for the tailor to let out. Unfortunately, this made them uncomfortable to move around and bend over in. It's too bad, because otherwise these are really nice pants, and I would definitely have just swapped them for 33s and had the waist taken in. As far as the linen goes, it has a subtly slubby texture, and drapes really nicely, unlike some cheaper versions. The slate color is nice and understated. They are Perry Ellis pants so they werenโ€™t ever going to be bad. The fit is nice and not see through. Obviously with anything white except jeans, you can see the pockets through but itโ€™s white linen.

As for the Perry Ellis linen, I felt stings and itching near my knees, stomach, feet. I could be allergic to linen for some reason. Or maybe they use a different type of thread material for the hemming than linen. They don't seem that see through to me. I was wearing dark boxers and I could barely see them through the natural linen color. Maybe in other lighting you can see though them more. I guess people may need to wear light colored boxers underneath. I ordered 32x32. The length is fine but it is more like 34" waist. Two inches too big. Tag says: "MADE IN INDONESIA. 100% LINEN. The length is sufficient, there is enough room for my butt, they look nice and are not transparent, and the fabric is breathable. Itโ€™s difficult to find longer slim fit pants that fit in the thighs, and these are comfortable without being baggy.

Hoping these survive the dry cleaners. The waist and length were perfect (5โ€™9โ€, 32โ€ inseam). Really like the option to use the drawstring or hide inside and use a belt om the loops instead. Given my history with white pants, may consider getting a second pair.
