As far as size and function are concerned, this mouse is an adequate replacement for the original HP mouse I have been using for maybe a decade. But this Perixx mouse is noisy. Not only are the clicks loud, but they have a hollow resonance to them that I found annoying. I bought a Macally mouse here on Amazon as a replacement, because it claimed to be really quiet. It is quiet, but just too small to fit my hand. So I will try another replacement mouse.

After accidentally dropping & breaking a mouse that I really liked (and not wanting to pay $60 to replace it), I've tried several different mice the last few weeks. I needed a USB-C connector, which limited my choices. The first one I tried was horrible is just about every way, the second had a regular USB not USB-C and the third was "ok" but not very comfortable to use. Finally I found this one and while it isn't as good as the $60 mouse had been, it is reasonably close. Fits my hand well, has a definite click on the buttons and moves well. Only used it for ~2 hours, but off to a good start. Edit: I'm not sure what happened to it, but the left mouse button broke after not quite 6 weeks. Pretty disappointing. I would order another to see if it was a fluke but they are now not available.
