This kayak is great! Only about 25lbs and my 11 yr old was able to get the hang of it immediately and was able to quickly maneuver it around the bay. He said it was very stable and faster on the water than his previous kayak -a 10’ Eddyline. For reference my kid is about 115 lbs and 5’ tall. I'd been shopping for a small kayak for a few months, and this one takes the cake. It's the perfect size for a smaller woman (I'm 5'1) and light enough that I can load it on my suv rack on my own. It goes very fast in the water but its a little challenging to get the hang of balance. If you aren't careful you might tip. the kayak is quite small. I was afraid that if it went over, I might not be able to get my legs out and would be trapped. however, it's so light that I can pick it up by myself (a 75 year old woman) and it handles well. It steers fast and straight. Overall I like it but it very bare essentials. there is no hold to place your keys, phone, camera. the seat is very small. this is a kayak for a child.
